That’s it?
Hey Joyce! Over the last few weeks, we have received a lot of feedback from readers that our weekly store deals were too long and overwhelming. As a result, we made the decision to trim them down by really focusing on only the best deals. We hope that this condensed version of only the best deals will make these weekly lists less overwhelming and more helpful. With that being said, we are always open to feedback! So feel free to send an email to Collin@hip2save.com and/or leave a comment on this post if you have any suggestions of ways we can improve. Thanks!
My reaction was the same…. That’s it? 🙂
Sigh, I guess we will have to look at other blogs to try to find the whole list. Everyone’s needs are different and I had always looked at the whole list to find what I needed for me and my elderly mom. So disappointing.
I second this. I look at all the stores in detail to see if anyone has a good price on what I need. This reduction is disappointing.
Thanks a bunch for your feedback, Lauri! We will sure keep your comment in mind for next week’s post!
The reduction of deals by only showing the “best deals” has happened at least twice before on Hip 2 Save. Each time, the general consensus was “show all deals”. And it went back to show all deals.
Please continue to show all deals. Those that are not interested in an item can skip over it.
Thanks SO much for your comment! We truly appreciate hearing what you prefer!
Much prefer show all deals with the best deals in red. That’s my vote. The newbies will learn.
I agree that all deals need to be shared! I think every household differs…not all deals will meet their needs (ie, those who have pets, kids, or neither) but being able to scroll/skim through them all allows everyone to determine the best deals for their own family’s budget needs. This “summary” totally eliminated me and my family…leaves me scurrying to find another blog with a more inclusive list. I’m so disappointed….
DARN! Thanks so much for taking a moment to let us know what you think of the new format. We will for sure keep this in mind for our future posts!
I prefer the longer post because like Lauri said, everyone’s needs are different. I also liked how you put the “best deals” in red. I have recommended your blog to numerous people because of these deal posts. Please consider going back.
Bring the longer posts back. List the best deals at the beginning and then just add a header like “the rest of the deals” for those that want to read through it. Again, thanks for all you do!
You’re welcome! Thank YOU for letting us know which style you like best!
H2S has been my favorite coupon site for years because of the great format and the large number of deals for the weekly drugstore ads. I’m really sorry that people complained. Thank you for the hard work you put into this site.
Please bring back all the deals with the best ones in red!
Long list back !!
Would like to see all the deals too
I prefer all the deals because at times it is not a best deal over all, but for me it is a best deal because it is a needed item.
I would like to see all deals too. This is disappointing. Ill check out other sites for a complete list
Sorry for the confusion, Renee! We sure appreciate your feedback! We will take it into account as we make revisions for next week!
Agree with everyone above. Please bring back the long list. Thank you for all you do H2S!!
IMHO I agree that the long lists are better. I also have to say that I feel this site, although I love the H2S team, has gone too much to the retail side of things and not enough with the basics. It seems there are so many posts for things like shoes, jewelry, vacuums, etc. and not enough on everyday essentials like TP, dish detergent, and food, food, food, which is something we all need. Chances are if I’m looking for things like a pair of shoes, a bracelet, or especially something like a vacuum, I’m going to shop sites and do my research prior to purchasing it anyway because it’s a bigger item that I don’t buy all the time as I do bread, butter, milk, TP, etc. And with all the various apps/sites that automatically show you the best deal and do much of the work for you, it’s so easy now to just put in vacuum cleaner and you’ll find what you’re looking for at the best price using things like Honey, etc. And these things automatically do the work. However, I need to save every day on food. I’d much rather know what grocer has the best deal on chicken this week or a great sale and coupon for say canned veggies. If you scour the internet to find all the veggie coupons and stores with those on sale that’s much more helpful to me than finding bracelets on sale or wall art or something that is not a “need.” I think many people are more focused on needs than wants, especially when saving or trying to save money, which brings me to another point. You know how you can go to Walmart or Target and you go in for something you need, say tampons or laundry detergent, but you see those end caps with those cute mugs on sale. Do I NEED another mug, probably not. That’s sort of how H2S site sort of feels to me in the last year or so. Look, great sale on wall art or mugs or whatever. But my guess is many have impulsed purchased both in stores and from the site because of the “deal” aspect. And I get, nobody is twisting our arms or pressuring us to buy. I just feel that while it is a savings site, coupon site, I see less and less about coupons and what people need every day and more and more of mugs and vacuums, as examples. I guess my overall thought here and what I’m trying to say is I’d rather see the “back to basics” kinds of posts. I use quite a few sites because some of my local grocery stores, I get the ad scans a week in advance and can order what coupons I need or make my list and get my coupons ready and it helps with what I need to do at least twice a week, which is shop for food. So I definitely agree on the long list here because many times there are deals on things we NEED, not want or hope to buy. I’ve bought a lot of cereals, snacks, etc. from Rite Aid with their deals and of course detergents and paper products, etc. I hope I made sense and didn’t ramble too much. I do appreciate everything you all do and even more so, thanks for allowing me to share my feedback.
Thanks for taking a moment to comment, Nancy! We sure value your feedback and will keep it in mind for next week’s post! In addition, couponing isn’t the same as what it was when Hip2Save started in 2008 and we are trying to make sure we continue being in the know about posting the best deals that are going to save readers money AND time. There are many more digital coupons and online deals these days. Hoping that helps!
Please bring the long posts back. Thank you for all you do!
I agree. The longer posts with the matchups are more what I am looking for. I check H2S all day long but rarely purchase anything that I see posted other than the grocery matchups, or coupons to print with deal ideas, or personal care/household products (paper towel, detergent, etc.). I know this was changed once before and people didn’t like it, so it quickly went back to the old way. I guess it’s the same as someone (like me) scrolling through lots of posts they aren’t interested in…if people just want the very best deals in the weekly matchups they can scroll past everything else until they see the red.
I am not disappointed in H2S at all for trying to give what their audience wants. Personally, I love the longer list. I think it helps me so much more so I am able to see other competitors prices are. I want the best bang for my buck. You can’t pass a test with half of the study cards. I love HIP2SAVE so much. I’ve been using it since I was 19!
Aww, thanks a bunch for being a longtime reader and for sharing your feedback! It is truly appreciated!
Please bring back the longer posts. Thank you Hip2Save team, for all you do.
You’re so welcome! Thanks for letting us know what you’d prefer! We’ll be sure to keep that in mind for the coming weeks!
Please bring the longer posts back. Can anyone recommend another site that has posts like hip2 save used to have?
Please bring back the longer posts. I really do appreciate all the hard work you guys put in, and I hate to complain, but I really do prefer the longer lists. Sometimes I do shop just “for the deal” but other times I NEED something soon, and am looking for the best deal right then. I really liked the way you did the Target deals, with the full list on Saturday, and the “Best Deals” on Monday when the cartwheel came out. Sometimes I just skip through the list for what the best deals are, sometimes I skip through for just what I’m running short on. I really like having the option of using the list how I need to.
Thanks, Candace! Your comment is truly appreciated! Thanks so much for sharing with us what works best for you! We will for sure keep that in mind for next week!
This is not very useful with a short list. I much prefer the longer list and can use the find button if looking for something specific. Always enjoyed the red for the hot deals too.
I totally agree with the above comments…please bring back long list! Thanks for all you do!
The longer list is much more helpful than this condensed version. Not everyone benefits from these “best deals”. Bring back the long list!
Please bring back the longer list with good deals in red.Have been with hip for years and the long list is terrific
Rite Aid stores went 75% off on Valentine items this morning, including candy!
I also prefer the longer list and the stackable deals as well. Coupons + Ibotta + sale = deal. You can list the best deals first and the rest for the people who want to scroll.
Ugh! Disappointed that the full list is no longer posted, none of these “top deals” are things that I need, so i have to go elsewhere to find deals. It’s very easy to scroll past deals if you don’t want them, it’s a lot harder to hunt down deals that aren’t posted.
I too prefer the full list. having the best deals marked in RED or in a section helps beginners but I often find terrific deals I might otherwise miss by looking at the full list.
There must be a lot of us saying the same thing! I couldn’t post below because it was a “duplicate:.

Thanks SO much for your feedback! It is greatly appreciated! We have heard everyone’s request and will be making these longer to include the red highlighted deals!
Bring back the long form please!
I am one of the original Hip2Save users. I really appreciate all that Collin and team do for us!
I agree with most of the comments so far. I would prefer the long list with the best deals high lighted in RED. As mentioned it is not difficult to scroll past the items I am not interested in, but harder to know what the deals are if you NEED something that week, and the post is only the best deals.
I know it is more work for you, but PLEASE bring back the full list. 🙂 The newbies will learn the best way to navigate.
Thanks for letting us know what works best for you! We have decided to make these longer again AND add back the red highlighted deals!
Bring back the full list. Let other folks scroll on past if they are not interested!!
Please go back to all deals !!!!!!!!
I agree with everyone else that the longer form is better with the best deals just being highlighted in red. This helps me tremendously. This week it would have been especially helpful as Rite Aid has the “Buy $50 of these items get $20 in wellness bucks” going on again and I don’t have the mental capacity to figure out the best way to take advantage of this promotion but hip2save is always great about giving me ideas for scenarios based on what could be gotten for good prices with and without coupons/rebates etc. Sorry about the other people who didn’t like the long form but I think those that want less should just stick to skimming for what is in red and that will tell them what they want to know without the rest of us losing out. I so appreciate this website for all its great deal-saving scenarios that it lets me know about!
We sure appreciate YOU! Thanks for letting us know what you like best. We have taken this into account and have decided to make these longer and add back the red highlighted deals.
Hi Hip2Save Crew, after reading ALL of the responses both here and on the CVS weekly deal page, every single one of them are asking for the longer list. How many asked for the shorter list that made you change your mind and make it shorter? I ask because not a single person commented that they liked it shorter on either comment page. Thank you for your hard work. It makes our job soooo much easier. You are the main group that I teach to my coupon class. 🙂
Hi there! We have heard everyone’s request and have decided to make these longer and add back the red highlighted deals! Thanks SO much for the feedback! We sure appreciate you taking the time to comment and let us know what you’d prefer!
