FREE Dr. Seuss’s Birthday Party Event at Target (March 2nd)
On Saturday, March 2nd from 10AM – 11:30AM, head into a participating Target store where they will be hosting a FREE Dr. Seuss’s Birthday Party event!
Every half hour, kiddos will be able to listen to readings of “What Pet Should I Get”, participating in fun activities and score freebies and giveaways! Head here to find a participating store.
What age kids can participate in this event?
Hi Nikki! I don’t see specific ages mentioned in the details. I would guess if your kiddos would be old enough to attend storytime at your local library, that they could attend this just fine. Maybe ages 4+? That’s around the age I started taking my daughter. Hope that helps! 🙂
Thank you Liza. 🙂
Has anyone done this before? What kind of freebies they give out etc? Thank you
Usually an acticity page….or a sticker….that’s if they remember they participated! Never as cool as it sounds!
Same here. They had a few bean bag chairs and if you find an employee, they will read a book to the kids, No sticker for us- just an activity page. We are not ungrateful but yeah- it’s a bit of a let down. We are Not expecting handouts but the employees always seem to have absolutely zero interest and the kids sense it. This is the same at the two closest stores to us, and with all the “events” target posts. When they had the lol event… we were told “the boxes are in stock room and we are not doing it”. Lol.
Thank you. Sounds very depressing. I’ll skip the event.
At the paw patrol halloween event, we got: a few coloring pages, 1x giant band aid, plastic bucket, candy at 5 stations, pp screening with bean bags at electronics section. At a lego event, we got: had to do a scavenger hunt for 1x fruit snacks, sticker, and comic book. At OG adopt a dog, we got: 1x plush dog, collar with leash, and certificate. Some targets love hosting these events and others dont care so much, therefore whats available for freebie will vary from store to store. Last yrs PP event was fab, this yr we went to a different Target and they just didnt really care and there was no seating or screening as advertised(my toddler was bummed(!!!) as she loved that a lot the previous yr). I suspect this “stroytime”reading advertised will be only avail at certain stores.
We did the Halloween paw patrol event by accident in 2017, just happened to be in the store. They got a bucket, candy (or fruit snacks? I forget), two shopkins each, and Pokémon cards (2-3 each?). I was in the store anyhow, but I wouldn’t go out of my way for it. But last saturday’s Barnes and noble lego build? That was worth it and cute! Free mini lego set- yes please! My kids love legos.
