I got my baby box today and it’s amazing. It is super cute, and my daughter loves it. It’s the perfect travel box to take to a family member’s house for her to nap or sleep in. Plus it had a bunch of great free samples Inside. Very much worth the time to sign up!
Just picked mine up yesterday! The baby box will be perfect to take on our upcoming vacation. Mine included several Dove samples as well!
I just picked mine up at Walgreens today! The box is comes in is really big, I was surprised when they brought it from the back lol. My baby still fits in the box but I think I will use it for playtime and then as storage. The mattress is comes with is nice and my sample bag came with a pack of dove baby wipes, dove men’s items, some coupons, and a bunch of other little samples. Thanks again! The box is so cute!! Mine has little birds on it.
I picked mine up today at the local hospital where I had actually given birth. It was a larger box than I expected and had a pillow like mattress in it with a cover. It had a blue zippered bag with samples. They were mostly for personal hygiene for the mother and not the baby. There were Face wipes, Dove samples and detergent sample.
I got mine over the weekend. It is a really nice box with a snug fitting mattress. There were a bunch of little samples, the same ones shown in the top picture. I was surprised that so many of the samples were for men, not babies. Also, the first description I heard of the box stated that the box came with a lid so it could be used for storage when your baby outgrows it. Mine did not come with a lid. I’m not sure what I will do with the box when baby outgrows it. No complaints just my observations about this offer. I think it is neat that the baby box organization is distributing inexpensive but safe, cozy places for babies to sleep.
Thank you! I watched some videos, took a short quiz and got a message saying the box will be ready will be ready for pick up in 2-4 weeks at my nearest Walgreens about 20 minutes away.
Thanks for sharing! Expecting our first baby in July. Watched a few videos and took a short quiz. Nearest pickup location to me was in Los Angeles, but I was offered shipping for $4. Worth it to me – Thanks!
Thank you. I’m expecting and got one for free shipped!
Aww, congratulations! You are SO welcome, Kasi!
I signed up but not sure if I did it right didn’t say anything about receiving anything ?
Hmm, did you watch the videos and take the short quiz to see if you qualify?
Please don’t use this just to get something free. This is an amazing cause for people who really need it. The more things like this are abused by those who just want freebies, the less people who really need this product can receive it.
According to the website, this is not just for low-income parents/parents-to-be – it is for any parents/parents-to-be. If people without children, and not expecting children, are taking these resources that is wrong. But if well-off or even very wealthy people are participating in this program, that is not wrong, and not counter to the program’s goals.
This is exactly what I was thinking. If this is a program meant to help low income women, I think it’s wrong to abuse the program just to get some freebies.
The post states it’s for low-income mothers, but I really don’t see that anywhere on the site. It actually says “Our services are free to parents and caregivers, regardless of income or location.”
Hi there! It seems the program first began to help low income mothers. Hope that helps!
But we are just smart, we aren’t low income but are able to take care of our family on 1 income because of deals like these. We wouldn’t take anything from the government though.
Finland gives these to every new mom and it cut their sids rate to 0.
Thank you! The site never mentions low income. People are really getting up in arms. I think any expecting mom should get this.
Amen !!
Are you kidding! A few samples and a decorative box are not going to be overwhelmingly helpful to a low income mother. Try diapering your baby for even a day with this or transporting your baby and this giant box around town with no car! This is an overwhelmingly obvious marketing campaign to advertise these products!
Actually the campaign is to educate new parents on important baby care and health information; the samples and box are incentives so that parents will read and absorb the information. The box is not decorative, but functional: it includes a pad and is suitable for babies to sleep in for the first several months of their lives.
I got one of these last year and my son slept in it for several months. Haha!! Everyone made fun of me, but it was convenient to have him right next to me on the floor. Now it’s my daughters doll bed, and will be a spare bassinet this summer when my baby niece will be staying over.
Hate it when people abuse freebies and coupons. Thats why these companies are getting so strict.
Well hate it on another site cuz freebies posted here are for anyone
This program is intended for *all* parents of babies and parents-to-be of babies. The only abuse would be if someone who didn’t have a baby and wasn’t expecting one went through this to get a box.
Thank you! I am expecting my first in April and found the videos to be informative.
SO exciting! Congrats, Angie! You’re very welcome!
$24.99 🙁
Yes, no free box. Just sleep onesie and sample.
Hi Sam! I still find that the box is offered – “Our first course provides parents a free Baby Box. Additional courses and rewards are based on the developmental stage of your child. See our “Courses & Rewards” page for a complete list.”
It does seem availability can vary by state. Hope that helps!
Yup, I’m in a participating state, but only the onesie and samples are free. The sleep box and its mattress are an additional $19.99 and $24.99 with an extra sheet. So misleading and disappointing 🙁
DARN! The offer does seem to vary a lot by region or location. Thanks so much for the feedback on what was offered in your area!
I’m in Taxes and offered no box and one of my friend in Nj and no box for her too. Our states are participating.
One side note: whenever I try to comment it doesn’t go through . I have to close the comments and then post it again. I already updated my app.
Thanks for sharing, Sam! And thanks a bunch for the heads up on the comment issue you have been experiencing! SO sorry about that! We are looking into it now!
Hmm, this offer can vary by state. I still find the Free Baby box available for select areas. Hope that helps!
Had options to pay $24.99 or $19.99 to receive a box in Phoenix, AZ.
I didn’t get the box but a onesie and some samples. 🤷🏼♀️ is that a select state thing? expecting end of april. I thought it was kind of cool they made you watch informative videos for it.
NOT just for low income- its to promote safe sleeping and decrease SIDS. Huffpo article-https://www.huffpost.com/entry/even-more-states-are-getting-in-on-the-free-baby-box-trend_n_58da990ee4b0d41721b9a12d
This is fine for any parent to accept !! Stop with the preaching !! Almost every parent needs or can use any helpful info with their first baby. Maybe some might not need the free samples per se but the info that comes with it might be things they dont have or know. I thought i “knew it all” from reading just What to Expect when Expecting” but i was pleasantly surprised to read lots of other things. Samples are also helpful (again whether they are financially needed or not) as people can see what does and doesnt work. We are not talking about full sized products its a sample. People need to get off their preachy high horse and remember as parents we are all in this together and learning as we go !!
Exactly, why do they spend their time worrying about something so ridiculous?
And it’s true, this is to help prevent SIDS for ALL babies 😊
I ordered the box back in January and received it a week ago. I had to pay $9.99 for shipping. I got 2 samples but none of the ones in the picture posted above. I was told that not all boxes are shipped with samples.
That’s disappointing for spending $9.99 on shipping.
I ordered this in Feb 2018- back then you could either pick up for free (at certain locations) or pay $3 shipping. Did the latter and received a box w/ lid, mattress, and a bunch of samples. It was awesome! I got it so that I could donate it to people that foster newborns.
Nobody is “abusing freebies” so all this outrage is really unnecessary. Even if you get it for free, you can donate it to someone in need. It clearly says that the box helps to prevent SIDS and that anyone w/ a baby can use it- not just low-income moms. Reading comprehension is important.
Stop feeding the trolls..
…ok
I did this for my daughter when they offered this promotion last year. The box was great for napping, playing in and now serves as a toy box. We then took the mat and used it for a dockatot we had made for her. This is not just for low income mothers. They actually distribute these at participating hospitals and in return the mothers take a class.
I got this box last summer when my baby was 3 months old. I thought it would be a safe place for him to sleep at Grandmas. He hated the box! He liked playing with the outside(we got a really cute Panda one) but cried when put inside. He was used to sleeping in a bassinet with mesh sides. We received a couple of samples (maybe 3 total) and a blue waterproof bag. The box is quite large and flat packs kinda of like a bankers box. We now use it for toy storage. It didn’t come with a lid. Hope this helps someone thinking of ordering one.
They gave me a frickin newborn onesie. Wth. My friend’s baby is almost a year old. Thought I could give this to my friend and said I bought it to take credit. Dang it
Got mine today. No box just a onesie and lanisoh sample. I’m in texas.
