My family and I love that chocolate cake and it’s always a hit when we bring places. And you cannot beat the price!

My mom will mention how good the chocolate cake is every time we shop at Aldi’s. I pretend I don’t hear her so I won’t be tempted to eat the whole thing myself! LOL!

The chocolate cake is delicious and super moist. 🙂

They have a small chocolate cake that is delicious. I have a friend that owns a catering company, and she uses them all the time!

I absolutely love the chocolate cake too! I think it’s triple chocolate?

    Looks like dark chocolate?
My favorite is milk. Is the inside dark chocolate too?

  2. KeriB

I agree it looks amazing! Might have to pickup one to try. Seems very rich. Would be good with a dip of vanilla ice cream

It is amazing and it’s super moist

  3. Susan

It doesn’t taste like a black chocolate but it’s my family’s favorite 😋

  4. Jangel

That post is not good for my pregnancy cravings 😋

  5. atm

it sort of tastes like chocolate cake i used to get a boston market but this one has less chocolate frosting (fudge). this one has no fillings only drizzled on the top but it’s still delicious imo.

Where was this, by the bread or different area? I was there today and didn’t see these. My aldi also has higher prices than what you guys post unfortunately. The last post showed their brand pop tarts at 1.09 I think? and at my store they are $1.85 🙁

    • The Deal

It depends but typically it’s located in the sweets section, and that might be by the bread.

As far as pricing, it tends to vary by region. Hope this helps.

    • Cambria

Mine is located by the bread, yes. Also, mine is priced at 3.99. Still a great deal!

  7. Malinda

These are delicious. We’ve been getting them for a long while. I was surprised how decadent they are.

  8. Nancy

We have tried the pictured Creme Cake Sampler before and it is very good also.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

My mom has grabbed that one too! SO yummy! Thanks for taking a moment to comment, Nancy! Happy to hear you have enjoyed it!

  9. S

I’m so picking one of these up next shopping trip! Thanks! 😊

    • Liza (Hip Sidekick)

      You’re welcome S!

I think prices totally depend on your area. It does not matter if it’s aldi’s or giant or whatever. I recently went to an area near Philadelphia…………I expected prices to be higher. They were not. Hummus is 2.99 or higher in my area….which I think is poor. Instead, it was a dollar less overall. The butcher at my local giant doesn’t get it either……………….it’s less in surrounding philadelphia than it is in Reading pa. Which has been the poorest city in usa in last 5 years. Go figure????????????????? I am upset by this. There are many working poor in my area……….and this shit take advantage of them and me. : (

    • Sheryl

Sue I live on the Mainline in the Philly burbs and there is a Giant in the middle of town. This is a very wealthy area (I’m by far not rich!) and while visiting relatives a couple months ago in Reading we went into Giant to get a few snacks. I was very surprised at some of the prices. We actually did buy hummus and it was definitely more expensive. This is baffling! What are they thinking?

The Aldi in houston,tx never have the deals posted. I have never seen a candle to this day. I always leave there empty handed. In fact, i dont plan on going back. Too far sway and i have never made a purchase.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Bummer! SO sorry to hear about that! I know what you mean. The two ALDI’s I could go to are a bit different from one another.

  12. Sarah

My Aldi is amazing. They have 1/2 off stickers or $1 off all the time. Is it crazy that I won’t pay $3.50 for one of these cakes?! Lol

  13. Judy Trac @ lipscomb

My prices are higher here so I just tell my boyfriend to buy it for me
