I have the first couch pictured but that style is actually called the “Alenya” not the “Camden” and have the 3 piece extended version instead of the 2 piece. I personally would not spend $749 on it. I purchased the 3 piece set on sale for $650 delivered and honestly feel like even that may be a bit too much for the construction of the piece. I have had the couch for around a year and the backrest cushions are definitely starting to sag and go flat. We don’t have kids who are rough on the furniture and neither my husband or I are very large so I was surprised by this. It would be fine as a vacation house couch or maybe if it is a couch that won’t get used every day but it definitely will not hold up for daily use. I see myself having to buy a new couch in the next two or so years if it keeps deteriorating like it is now.
Brittney, Your experience is exact to mine, no kids here either. However, I too purchased an Ashley couch and because I was able to price match JCP’s sale price at an Ashley store I have a warranty. Ashley came out twice to replace the cushions on the seats then the backs. Look at your couch, mine has hidden zippers in the arm rests and backs. You can add stuffing in those places, but not the seats on mine. If it wasn’t for the warranty I would truly be dissatisfied with my couch. I did read some good reviews on the furniture from JCP and Ashley so it must be hit and miss.
That is a super tip, thank you!
Oh, wow. I have had the Ashley Alenya/Camden sectional for almost 4 years and love it. When the back cushions start looking flat, I open the cushions’ zippers and fluff them back up. You can also add more stuffing if you need to. I also rotate the cushions every season. I have 2 kids, a husband, and a dog and it’s held up really well. We had an issue with a staple popping out, but with the warranty it was fixed. I’d 100% repurchase this again.
Is this a deep couch? The dimensions list it at 37.5” deep but that’s about the same as our current couch and it doesn’t look nearly as deep as our current one. We are looking for one with a smaller footprint. Can anyone verify the dept of the couch from the back to the front edge of the seating?
Yes, that’s correct. It’s a small, compact sectional. It finds our small space perfectly!
Can someone help me find the measurements of the first sectional pictured? Thanks!
Hi Michele! Here are the dimensions I found when scrolling through the Questions & Answers –
“loveseat : 56w x 38.5h x 37.5d
sofa : 90w x 38.5h x 37.5d ”
Hope that helps!
I have the Benton sofa. Not impressed; middle cushion slides out constantly.
Can you put the non slip rug mats gripper under the cushion to prevent it from slipping out?
Yay! Thanks for the suggestion. It works 🙂
We have the last one the Henderson in a love seat and a 3 seat couch. We got them last spring sometime and I believe we paid under $1000 for both including delivery and setup, so the price may get better.
They are very comfortable and pretty nice, but I don’t think they are going to last a long time or anything. We will likely move them to be basement couches when we find something nicer.
I bought the Benton sofa last time there was deal. From the pictures I expected it to be a distressed faux leather material. It is NOT. It’s a strange matte suede-like material which is absolutely impossible to keep clean with kids & dogs. I think I’ve ended up spending more on furniture covers than I did for the actual couch, LOL.
