Will a food pantry accept vegetables grown from someone’s garden?
Ours does. I live in Utah.
Yes
What time do they start this each day?
Does anyone know what time this starts each day?
From the Terms and Conditions:

Side Note: I tried the Teriyaki Spice & Simmer pack – it was surprisingly good and easy to make!
Thanks a ton for the helpful comment!
Haha – that’s 3:00 AM for me! Think I’ll pass.
These will be impossible to ever get.
Hoping you can snag them tomorrow!
Just got some 10pm MST
I tried but they were gone this morning already (8am) but, no worries! I love what this company is doing and if at least a large percentage of people who do get the seeds, actually pass on their harvest, what a difference this could make. Altruism on a budget, I love it 😍
Imagine if everyone grew some part of their own food. I’m not saying all become farmers. But a small planter of herbs, lettuces, edible flowers. We would spend less money shipping produce across the country. And burn less fossil fuels, more then likely fewer bacteria scares etc… most people can’t be bothered, same with recycling people just can’t be bothered.
Very true. I have a very small, at times productive garden. But each year I learn a little more and it gets better. I started it because I am a disabled vet who is unable to work and I really needed something I could do to feel productive. However, since starting it, I have become more aware of the environment around us ( the bees and butterflies that help pollinate our garden have been an awesome experience for us and the kids) being environmentally friendly and eating better.
Cool beans! Lol. Gone already, but I’ll try again another day. Would love to get a packet. We just started tilling & prepping our yard for this years garden. We grow green beans, peppers & cucumbers. I’ve tried tomatoes and carrots, but never had any luck with those.
Beans grow prolifically here (middle TN). From around 10 plants I can pick enough every other day equivalent to around 4 generous servings. Wonder what is going awry with your tomatoes(?) I’ve read that they should not be planted by peppers (or eggplants) because they are in the same family as tomatoes, thus affected by the same pests. However, we have not had trouble with pests on the tomatoes despite over a decade of growing seasons in same location, where I do have bell peppers adjacent, due to very small garden bed (approx. the dimensions of a queen size mattress). Only have had aphids some years on the tomato leaves, which I picked off manually and sprayed with just water, no pesticides. Eventually the leaves turn yellowish (August), which is probably due to the hot weather, since I only water once every day, but could be some mineral deficiencies, despite the compost.
However it doesn’t noticeably affect the tomato production. Most years I get some beefsteaks, but even if those don’t mature, I get an abundance of cherry tomatoes, which are more convenient for eating a little at a time anyway.
I could never share with a food pantry. In the past my plants made like 5 green beans a week. Maybe I need to start fertilizing, I don’t know…
ALL Gone
ALL Gone maybe tomorrow

I have gotten zucchini seeds and lettuce seeds from them and the past, and both were incredibly successful growers! Hoping I can score some beans this year!
The website is opened for free beans for those still up wanting them.
Excited to teach my kids about gardening and giving back. Thanks for this opportunity.
