Here’s why Hip2Save readers will pay a little more for these sandals…
I have quite a few pairs of Birkenstocks. I have regular footbed and soft, real leather and Birko-Flor. Both footbeds are comfortable, but I personally prefer the regular because they mold to the shape of the foot better. The Birko-Flor are not leather but the material is very durable and wear just as well (if not better) than the leather. I also like that I don’t have to worry about them as much in the rain. For sizing, it can definitely vary from shoe to shoe. I have pairs from 37 to 39. I take smaller size in the sandals and larger size in clogs and boots. Hope this is helpful to someone!
These are the best sandals. I’ve had three pairs in different colors because I love the style and they’re great for my bad feet.
The arches in Birkenstock are fabulous. The Walmart and multitude of wannabees do not have the 4 arch spots that make these so good for your feet when you break them in and they conform to your feet.
These are the most comfortable sandals. I live in NYC and can walk all day in them – better than wearing running shoes!
Any deals on the waterproof ones? Leaving for Bahamas next month and have looked and looked but unable to find any deals… TIA!!
I live in these, and really need some new ones! Thanks!
Me too! I alternate between black and brown 🙂
You’re very welcome Teresa! 🙂
The only drawback of this shoes is yellowish feet after wearing, especially if the feet are wet. Otherwise, great shoes.
Of course, they don’t have my size. Bummer.
Same here!! Ugh
I need to replace mine–I have black patent, I don’t like the white they have layered into the black pair for sale here… maybe I just need to be open minded… to me it looks more sporty? I wear mine everywhere, with almost anything…. any opinions?
So funny I was thinking the same thing, so now I am looking at the black with pink bottom in the Madrid style, which might be more subtle once it gets dirty, but then does it just look dirty? Bargain hunting decisions😜
I choose the black with white layered in also. Funny I thought it made them look dressy. I love Birkenstocks and this is a great price.
I bought the Arizona two strap on the site and the discount worked as well.
Can someone explain the sizing to me? I usually wear a 9 in womens. thank you
A womens 9 is 40. I take a 7 and wear a 38 in birkenstock. There is a size chart on their website. Also there is a narrow option or regular width. I feel they run on the wide side.
I adore Birks and got in on this deal the last time around. Even though I purchased a size 38 Regular I was sent a 38 Narrow. I called and talked to customer service who arranged a replacement that was higher cost and didn’t charge me the difference, assuring me it was a 38 Regular…SURPRISE!!!! They were also narrows. And after sending two emails and leaving 3 voice messages with no response I sent them back for a refund. A great deal is a great deal, but not when you can’t wear what you get.
I love Birkenstocks, but there aren’t any left in a 39, in any style! So sad!
