What happens to the car seats Target collects?
Target teams up with Waste Management who will recycle the parts to create new products such as pallets, plastic buckets and construction materials including steel beams and carpet padding.
can it be combined with the wedding registry 15%off order on line?
Hi there! I did double check with customer service. They should apply together. Be sure to give them a call if you have any issues. Hope that helps!
In the fall I was able to combine it with the baby registry, but I had to do it in store at customer service. I couldn’t get both codes to come off online.
Thanks so much for sharing your experience, Kel! Good to know!
Does anyone know if they do this twice a year or only once?
They do it again in September usually
Thank you!
Does this include expired infant carriers?
Yes it does. Or at least they took mine (expired) last September
Thanks a ton for the helpful comment! It sure is appreciated!
Thanks for this info! I was waiting for one of these. We have an infant carrier expiring this year (we were hoping to have another baby to use it before it expired, but hasn’t happened yet 🙁 ). I was waiting for a recycle event so I don’t just dump it in the trash.
I was just wondering when this would be coming up. We had a car accident this winter and had four car seats to replace afterward. I don’t really need the coupon but I didn’t want four big seats to end up in the landfill. This is a great opportunity as there are not many easy options for recycling car seats.
Yeah it’d be a good place to just get rid of old seats. But I wonder if they actually “recycle” them somehow? Wouldn’t surprise me if they just went to the landfill anyways
