Just head into your local Menchie’s with this $5 reward offer and you’ll basically score a free treat! Note that the $5 reward may take up to 12 hours to appear in your account.
If you already have an existing Menchie’s Reward Account, sign up with the same phone number you typically provide to the cashier to link them together.

I just heard back from customer service and here is what they stated – “The $5 you receive for downloading the app does not expire, as it is treated as regular Menchie’s Money .” Hope that helps!

Hi Holden. My guess is 60 days from the date you get the $5 reward. The reward details don’t specifically say the word “expire,” see my response above to view the rewards details I received. I hope this helps 😊

Promotional rewards definitely expire.
I’ve been a member since at least 2012. After spending $50, the Menchie’s Money earned doesn’t expire. It can be combined with the $5 Menchie’s Money that you get for your birthday.
The birthday reward is loaded onto your account 15 days before your birthday. The emails used to say that it was valid for the next 30 days, but now the emails say 14 days. The emails are now wrong. The birthday reward is still good for 30 days from the date of the email. If you log into the website, it will show the expiration date for the birthday reward.
If you don’t visit for a while, they will send an email with an offer for $1 off if you visit in the next 7 days. I found out the hard way that you won’t earn any smiles on that transaction if you use it.
If you are curious about the nutritional content, they have a binder at the register with info on every flavor of yogurt and most of the syrups. They usually have at least one sugar free syrup.
On a side note, $5 will only cover about half of my typical purchase. Some yogurts are heavier than others. Half of the weight for me is the toppings. I mostly load up on fruit, cheesecake bites, and mochi.

Just went to Menchies over the weekend and saw the sign for this. Your local Sam’s Club may have a $50 gift card (5 – $10 gift cards) for $37.50. Hope that helps!

Silly question, but do you have to add funds to a payment account to earn/use points?
You can add money to the app, but it shouldn’t be required since all they really care about is your mySmileage number.
The app shows your mySmileage number on the account page below the QR code. You can still pay with the other payment methods that the store accepts.
I still have the card I was given when I joined at a store in 2011 or 2012. The cashier swipes my card or manually enters my mySmileage number on the card to earn smiles and use Menchie’s Money. They might have looked up my account by my phone number once when I forgot my card. I don’t know if they still give cards when joining at a store.
