This thing is AMAZING!!!! Like 10 stars!!! I ordered one on Black Friday after reading reviews and just knew it was not gonna be what I needed- I have super thick and curly/mostly wavy hair. My hair takes FOREVER to dry- no matter if I let it air dry for hours then blow dry or straight blow-dry (this takes even longer) BUT this AMAZING thing right here- takes me 10- YES 10 minutes to dry my hair AND it’s already straight and pretty smooth. I use a straightener sometimes to still curl my ends but sometimes nothing at all- you will NOT be disappointed!!

Has anyone used this hair dryer longer than a year? I have read mostly good reviews but there are also people saying it sparked and started malfunctioning after a year and doesn’t leave the hair silky any more. Also, I’m concerned about this product frying hair and causing thinning due to the high heat, since it doesn’t have the temperature control setting which I prefer. Would appreciate your positive and negative feedback, so I can make an informed decision about purchasing this product. Thank you!
I bought this today. So I can’t personally say, BUT I read reviews on this product on a FB page full of people who have & they all rave about it. Lots of pictures posted too. If you don’t like it, you can return it in store. This is the reason I am buying from Ulta as Ulta has a product guarantee too.

It’s a little heavier than regular straightening rods and also it was too loud for me.
BUY IT! I’ve had this dryer for a year and it’s amazing. Use a heat-protectant spray before applying any heat to your hair and use it on the Low setting, if you want to avoid high heat. On Low it isn’t loud at all and I don’t find it heavy either. It’s so much faster and easier than traditional blow-drying! And this is coming from someone w/ very thick, long hair…my entire head goes from damp to perfectly dry and styled in well under 10 min, if even that! I do go over some places w/ a flat iron after, but my hair is quite curly so that’s to be expected. HTH!

I bought the paddle version of this dryer. Same manufacturer, just slightly different styling results. Mine died after three months. I simply called the manufacturer and they sent me a new one in just a few weeks. So, although mine died, the company stands behind their products and has amazing customer service. I love my dryer.
I do not have the required skill to use a brush and a blow dryer at the same time… this product was made for people like me! SO EASY!! My hair is medium length and very thick, I would dread washing it but now I don’t mind at all! Best hair product, in addition to color 🙂 that I have ever gotten. Oh, and dry shampoo is pretty awesome too.

Iv had it for a few months. it’s pretty bulky and loud but works great. My hair is so flat and this gives it so much volume. My hair stylist recommended I use a blow dryer first till my hair isn’t damp anymore and then use this and it’s worked out so much better then originally when I would only use this.

I have the paddle version too. It’s not really great at smoothing, but dries hair very quickly.

Anyone know how this works with long (down to waist) thick (usually described as horsehair) hair last time a deal was posted on the curler with awsome reviews i bought it and it didnt work out for my hair and my daughter threw box away so i couldnt return it (atleast i dont think i could of ) so their went 70 bucks now sitting in a drawer. How do you clean the dryer? After several months, the boar bristles on mine have product buildup and obviously you can’t wash it, so what can you do?
I wash my husbands brushes with shampoo to get the hair product buildup out. Works pretty well.

I love mine too just like the rest of you. My hair is shoulder length, thick, and frizzy. It does a great job of drying and styling. I highly recommend it for ANY type of hair. I paid full price and it was worth it.

I bought this a year ago hoping for the said results. I was disappointed. It does not get my hair nearly as straight as a round brush and my ion pro hairdryer. Be careful, the end gets hot too (unless they have changed the design).

ok here is my opinion… I have lupus and my wrists are weak because of this. It is heavy and I do have a hard time with it. I have to be mindful I when I am feeling good and when I can use it. I have thick hair and it does give it a lot of volume and it is shiny and smooth. I make sure my hair is pretty well air-dried before I start. It does get hot but there are several settings so I use it on the lower heat setting so I do not fry my hair and I always use a heat protectant. With all that being said I do love it and would totally purchase it at this price.
I have been holding this in my amazon cart for months, I am taking the plunge today as this is the lowest I have ever seen it. Ebates appears to be only 4% today but I will still go for it! I just purchased this…was contemplating buying the Dyson version. Highly recommend watching YouTube reviews and demo’s. They Answer Q about heat for fine hair & techniques to add volume. One gal used this on one side of her head and Dyson on the other. Slight difference. I have medium course hair, but a lot of it. I hate doing my hair and I now look polished. Very happy with this so far and even if it lasts for one year, for under $40, it will save me tons of time compared to doing my own blow-out several times a week.
