Is this the best price for the 7s or does the price drop lower more towards Black Friday? TIA ☺️

    • Alyssa

This is the best price I’ve seen!

My 3 year old loves this tablet! He actually broke it (water damage) and they are replacing it!!!!!

Oh wow! Super awesome you could grab a replacement, Rasha! Thanks for sharing!

I purchased 3 the last time these were this cheap. They are crap! The apps crash, freeze, sometimes you can’t download stuff. Sometimes the stuff you download won’t allow you to play. We have had sooooo many problems with ours, all three of them! Read reviews, there are TONS that explain all the problems, and amazon can’t do anything about it. Every time I call them, they have me restore the kindles to factory settings and then I have to spend an hour redownloading everything just for it to do it again. By far the most frustrating piece of technology we have every owned…

Wholly agree about dealing with tech support. And the hardware is terrible too. The ports for the power supply are improperly soldered. All 3 of our 7s have been returned at least once (one of them twice) because they eventually become loose and no longer charge. Thousands of complaints about this on the Kindle forums. I’ve mitigated the problem somewhat by purchasing magnetic charging cables to limit the number of times we have to push/pull the cable out of the port, but I shouldn’t have had to spend more money just to charge my devices.

Agreed, the quality of mine is not great. It crashes a LOT. Ok for the price, especially for the younger kids, but I wished I would have paid more for a Galaxy tab. The low end Galaxy tab my other child owns works way better.

Parents have to be really careful about the YouTube apps on these kids tablets. There have been multiple sexual videos that have made their way into YouTube kids. Just recently there was child pornography on the app and also sexual predators. It is best to not give them this sort of tech.

You can prevent them from accessing certain apps or even the web in general. On the parent dashboard, you can monitor everything your child is viewing. Don’t throw the baby out with the bath water. There’s lots of excellent learning content available – today’s kids need to be able to navigate tech; they’re using it already in most preschools.

These sexually explicit videos are imbedded into “kid videos” so it starts out sweet and innocent, then the sexual part, then it goes back to kid video. There are other videos with suicide tips imbedded into “educational, kid videos”.

You can put YouTube Vanced on the tablet. It is safe with no ads. Perfect for the little ones and no worries for the parents

You can set these up with passwords to restrict unlimited online access. My kids have an older model and on the kids profile they cannot access YouTube app or just regular internet in general. I can switch it to my profile to choose what’s downloaded on the tablet and it’s password protected.

anyone know who you contact to get a replacement? I bought mine off HSN last time and Im not sure if I go through HSN or Amazon to replace it. TIA!!

    • Liz

I would contact Amazon support. I bought mine from best buy and needed to have it replaced when the charger unit wouldn’t charge. I contacted amazon and just e-mailed them my receipt. Luckily it was within 90 days.

    • Rasha

I bought one from HSN and I just called Amazon customer service and they replaced it.

My daughter loves hers. I can switch to the parent account and use it for myself too. 🙂
