Wow 2 tiny shampoo samples and a bath bomb for $5 doesn’t sound like a great deal. Even Target box is better.

I was avid subscriber to multiple boxes, and weirdly enough (unlike much pricier boxes), I always thought Walmart did a subscription box well. This last one though was a complete stinker. Zero usable products for me.

First thought was to give the items away. I tried. No joke, of the several people I asked, zero wanted any of items from the box. Big bummer. Will see what the next box brings, but unlikely I’ll stay with the subscription if they continue sending out such clunkers.

Darn! Thanks for the honest comment, Amesy!

So is what your displaying in your photo the items in this month’s box?

    • Amanda

It looks similar to the last Walmart box I got. I’m thinking the next one will be different

      • Kb

Nope. I’d say that 50% of the Walmart box is repeated monthly. I canceled when we had 3 of most of the items and we weren’t using anything out of the box.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

No, the items you your box will likely vary from what is shown above. Hope that helps!

Absolutely love the Walmart boxes! I actually use the products! I was subscribed to Ipsy monthly ($10) and was only using a of couple items here and there, ended up with SO much stuff never used, so ending up canceling last year and have just stuck with the Walmart box. It’s a great surprise every season, and many times comes with full-size mascara or lip products that I actually use and love! For four boxes and $20 a year it’s well worth it for me! I’ve found some of my newest favorite products from their boxes. Can’t wait to see what the next one will have! I just received the confirmation email!

Oh awesome! SO glad you have been loving your boxes, Jessica! Thanks for sharing your experience with us!

At first i thought the bath bomb was the new Secret deodorant ball. I figured with that and the others $5. wasnt bad in order to check it out. But a bath bomb would be a waste as i literally have not taken a bath in YEARS. Sometime the novelty gets me but then i remember that i want to try unheard of brands and products. Many of these, if given the choice, could be obtained by going into the trial sized aisle section in most stores. I wouldnt grab them from there so the fact that Walmart just packs them for me in a box doesnt entice me. The excitement of a subscription box is lost when it becomes more or less of me just buying an “advertisement” box of products walmart hopes ill buy. I realize all the subscription boxes want us to buy the products but again most of the brands and/or products ive never heard of or used. It makes me excited to try unknowns. Ill stick with maybe a tad pricier but more “fun” boxes. 😊😊
I laughed at the comment about nobody wanting the items in the box. I 100% believe it because i have gotten some clunkers in sample boxes before that NOBODY would take too. 🤣🤣

    • Darla

      What are your fun boxes?

      • K80

Oooh ….Ipsy is a fun one. Decent goodies. Always a surprise 😊

        • Saydee

agree. Ipsy is a one that is verry good.

I’d say this box is better for a young teen who is interested in beauty boxes. It looks like a great starter box for them. As an adult, the products seem like a waste of time and money.

    • Kim

I agree. My daughter, age 10, was SO happy that I got her the Target beauty box. Her sister, age 13, was less so, but she still liked that she got a box of her own and could trade items with her siblings. As an adult, it just seemed like the kind of stuff I can request for free anyway.

I’ve been getting the Walmart Boxes for a few years and they are always fun. It is seasonal so only 4 times a year. Price and coupons found in the box also are always a hit. For $20 a year you really can’t go wrong

    • Jen

Same here! Although I’ve received duplicates of a couple products, I’ve gotten enough new items or full-sized things (like mascara, nail polish, etc.) to make it worth it. Since the box is only quarterly, it’s very affordable and a fun surprise since I always forget when it’s coming. 😂

  8. Deidra

Is the Men’s grooming bag sold out? When I click on the link I’m getting an error message.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Hi Diedra! Be sure to try a different browser. I did get that at first, but then I was able to grab it when changing browsers. Hope that helps!
