This helped to alert my friend when her baby stopped breathing in the middle of night after developing RSV. She loves it. To each their own. I have had 4 and never used anything like this, but I would have if it had been around.
Our daughter doesn’t mind it one bit. It’s a very soft fabric, it really is like an open toed sock. We love our Owlet, I sleep so much better this time around than I did when we didn’t have anything with my son.
My daughter was born at 36 weeks so we made the decision to purchase the owlet when we came home from the hospital.. It gave me peace of mind to see that glowing light and It helped me sleep easier. my fear was that we would be so tired we might not hear her cry out. We have only 1 false alarm over the past year and it was definitely not something you would sleep through. She has never minded it and I just purchased bigger everyday socks so they were not tight over her foot with the owlet and so she wouldn’t try to take it off as she has gotten older. Only trouble I have encountered is it does not fit in all footed sleepers well. My daughter might just have a big foot.
(Thanks, Christina!)
If this were available a couple years ago, I for sure would have gotten one!
I agree!
Target too!
Thanks for sharing! Looks like it is out of stock from Target now as I click through. DARN!
WORTH EVERY SINGLE PENNY (EVEN AT FULL PRICE)!
We got ours last time this deal was posted and used our registry discount as well. I had my baby 9 days ago and I am in love with the owlette! I was a little worried about false alarms scaring me but he haven’t had a single alarm yet. I wish I had it with my first baby!
SO glad you are loving it, Jessica! Thanks for the feedback!
Target is currently offering the same price. Just ordered mine last week from the Owlet website- can’t wait to use with our baby girl!
Oh awesome! Thanks for sharing! It appears to be sold out from Target now as I search through. Bummer!
Saved my daughter’s life when she was a newborn. We paid full price and greatest purchase ever!
So glad you had this for your daughter!
Wow! SO happy you had this for her! 💖 Thanks so much for sharing your experience!
My daughter had sleep apnea and stomach reflux. She would stop breathing in her sleep. She slept with this HUGE band around her chest that connect to a diaper size machine. She had wires coming out of both of her underarms. This was 18 years ago! How far we have come. I would have LOVED this.
I see lot of reviews of burn the skin of little new born. has anybody else experienced this?
Yes this happened to my son.
I ordered this on Walmart.com just because I figured if God forbid something happens before I deliver I could return if needed. I can’t wait to use it and for peace of mind for a new parent seems like a perfect solution.
Warning for prospective buyers. These can and will burn a baby’s foot. Happened to our son at 12 days old. Required a doctors visit where he then sent us to a burn hospital. We are not the only ones this has happened to. There are literally thousands of reports through the CPSC and lawsuits are on going. Sure, you might get lucky and it might not happen to you, but why risk even the slightest chance of second or third degree burns on your child and scaring them for life?
