Does it really work?
My husband found this at a gift shop and we LOVE it!! We bought the Deja-Poo, it works great and smells sooo good. He even spritzes it around the house. A little goes a long way with this stuff.
Sounds silly, but this is my go-to gift for Housewarming parties. It’s funny, a great conversation piece, and it WORKS!!
Spray, go, flush, leave. We have 3 and most are a citrus type fragrance but it really, really works!
My Mom got us each a bottle of this as a gag gift for Christmas. I cannot tell you how much we love it and how well it works! Even my Dad, brother and husband were impressed and that’s saying something. Highly recommend!
My mom gave me a small one many years ago as a funny gift & I thought was brilliant. When that ran out I bought a good size bottle off Amazon then some small, purse-size spray bottles to refill. It’s nice at home but invaluable on the go for me. I try to avoid public pooping but sometimes you gotta go & this makes it a lot less embarrassing.
The dollar store one I feel like works just as well. I like both though!
what is the dollar tree brand and what aisle would it be in? I am going to my dollar tree tomorrow and will look for it.
I was about to ask the same thing, Barbara! I use it at work because I think everyone should be kind in a shared bathroom! I’ve had the same tiny bottle (or a drip kind, not a spray) for over a year but it’s almost out. I need more but hate poopouri’s prices! I have to hand it to them, they came up with a good idea, but they charge too much for cheap ingredients.
I’m heading to Dollar Tree for sure. Hope someone posts where they find it in their store. Otherwise I’ll just wander around til I find it (and about 25 other things I didn’t know I needed!). Haha
CJJ exactly. I go there for 5 things and leave the store spending $20. lol.
Try the air freshener aisle. I hope it works for you–and that you avoid a spending spree at DT! There are some worthwhile items but I usually wish I’d spent more for better, longer lasting products.
thanks erin. i will check it out. i get a lot of my toiletries from there.
Thanks, Erin, I’ll try there!
It is called Poo Be Gone and it not always in stock. I think it actually smells better and works about the same. I do love both of these brands though. 🙂
I found it in the isle with toilet paper. I think it works just as well as the name brand!
I don’t think so 😒
Oh cool! Thanks for the heads up! We’ll have to look for that!
Thanks for the review, I have seen it at mine and was wondering if it worked.
Pssst… you can get it cheaper than that at the store. And yes! As stated above im sure the dollar store one is the same.
I was just going to comment about the one at Dollar Tree. I’d rather pay just a buck for something that’s literally going down the drain!
No truer statement has ever been said Sara !! Yes id rather (literally) flush a buck down the drain than $4.99.
Wow, I’ve been interested in buying this and didn’t know there was a similar version at Dollar Tree. Thanks!
I believe Costco sells the 3 pack and I think I paid $19.99 for the 3 pack. These bottles last forever !!!!
I’m my opinion the dollar store version doesn’t work as well. True it’s literally something you’re flushing down the toilet BUT I feel the dollar store version just doesn’t work as well.. just my opinion.
Costco.com also sells a 3-pack for a few dollars more — 22.99, with shipping included.
I’ve you’ve never seen the commercials for this stuff, head to YouTube and check them out. They are hilarious!
I agree, Ivan! SO funny! Thanks for sharing!
The one from dollar tree is disgusting and smells like i am being poisoned! Do not get that. I’m pretty sure it is harmful! Seriously!
I love PooPourri! It works! I carry a small bottle in my purse at all times. When walking into a stinky bathroom stall to pee, it’s convenient to spray the smell away.
It really does last forever. A little goes a long way!!
Awesome! Thanks for sharing your experience! Good to know how well it has worked!
You can use essential oils instead! My husband calls it the $20 Dollar Tree, because I spend that much.
It would be interesting if all the ancestors and forefathers could see how we live these days lol they might find it odd or humorous and probably a bit intriguing. I love living in these times that we do. 🙂
Yes, I am also glad to be born in this time and place. Hooray for indoor plumbing and western-style toilets; crowning achievements of our civilization. Lol. But in all honesty, we are so lucky. I read that half of India’s population has no access to a toilet. And that’s just India. So, poo pourri is icing on the cake.
I have heard it said that one of Americas contribution to civilization is, literally, the toilet.
I use a combination of essential oils. Found a Pinterest recipe and made my own. So much cheaper and works great!
Interesting … please do share .
INGREDIENTS
1 tsp rubbing alcohol
30-40 drops essential oils (I use citrus scents. Lemongrass, grapefruit, but you can use any you like)
3 oz water
I mix it up and put it in a small glass spray bottle. Spray before you go!
Great idea! Thanks for sharing!
I have to pay $9 shipping for my “free” bottle. Why not go to target, and get twice as much for $1 more. Nice to know it works, as read in the discussion. I’ll have to think on this one.
Ok, so here is my soap box for the day..it is frustrating when a part of the businesses in feels that just because I am in Alaska, it is a foreign country. It costs no more to ship it here, than anywhere else. For this offer, I have to pay $4 more in shipping..
Paying for shipping is not free.
CVS also carries Poo-Pourri in the travel section or in the bins at the front of the store. They charge $9.99 a 2oz bottle. It sometimes goes on sale buy 2 get one free. Available in original scent only. I use my % off coupons to pick it up cheaper. I like the other fun scents and names better, but cheaper (sale and no shipping) always wins for me. Maybe this will offer another way to pick up a good product at a better price.
Thanks so much for the helpful feedback, Kris! Happy you have been able to grab them on the cheap!
