You’re very welcome! Hope you’re able to spot them!
I bought this and can’t figure out how to use it. The only instructions are the vague ones on the box. Help!
Me either, I can’t get the cylinder open!!
I put coffee in cylinder filter, added water and now can’t get the lid on. Instructions are very vague. Anyone figured out how to use this product?
From what I can tell, it seems like you push the filter down until the colored ring secures it in place. Then when you’re done brewing you replace the filter and lid with the other strainer lid.
I emailed Aldi this morning after attempting to use their chat feature and no agent was ever available. I’ll let you know if I get a response.
I had to pull down the colored ring around the filter enough to pull the lid off the top. Once it’s been loosened, it seems to be easier to remove subsequent times. I have hibiscus leaves in mine right now and it appears to be working correctly so far.
Aldi or Crofton, please respond to above complaint or I will return to seller
Aldi sent me a response to my email stating that they need to research this more. LOL!
How much ground coffee do you put in it?
I got one of these in May and used it about 3 times. It did ok for me, but the last time I used it, it broke while I hand-washed it. Fortunately I had on rubber gloves or else I would have sliced off my middle finger. With subtle pressure, my finger made a hole…and it appears there was a weak area in the glass. I was going to return, but decided to repurpose the strainer by using a large-mouth 8-cup Mason jar (it fits perfectly). The outside silicone sleeve is removable so I put that on the bottom of my Costco Reuse 30oz stainless steel tumbler. So guess it wasn’t a total loss. The thing I didn’t care for with the carafe is the lid doesn’t fit tight so you can’t grab it by the top very well when getting it out of the fridge. I much prefer the sturdiness/durability of the Mason jar.
