Do you know if the kitchen towels are 100% cotton?

    • Rebecca

No they are like microfiber, more for looks than actually drying anything.

    • Barb

Definitely not cotton. Very low quality, thin dish rag. Mine does not dry a thing. Last poster was right. It is for looks only.

    • dolcedelish

Agreed. I buy those “towels” specifically to freshen my kitchen decor for the change of seasons/holidays. They permanently hang on oven handle and on my coffee station. I have white Terry cloths to actually dry anything.

I picked up a wood round at Home Depot to make the lemon drink tray you posted the other day. These wine glasses will go so cute with it! Hope my store has these!

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Oh yes! That sure would be cute! Hoping you spot these in your store!

    • Gigi

I missed the tray. I did a search but couldn’t find it. Please post the link!

  3. Mella

The plates and bowls aren’t plastic?

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

      Nope! They are ceramic!

  4. Jami

Saw these the other day at my dollar tree, they are stunning 🍋

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Yay! Happy to hear your store had them, Jami! Thanks for sharing!

  5. Barb

These dishes and bowls chip easily. I have a set of 8 and 2 plates and 1 bowl are already chipped. I would definitely get extras because of the quality.

  6. Roxanne

Compare to Corelle dishes? Any thoughts?

    • Barb

No comparison to Corelle! I have an old Corelle set and this lemon set as well and the Corelle has held up very well, needing no replacements. My only advice with this set would be to buy extras since the quality isn’t as good.

  7. Tina9222

I went in last week and bought a few mats only because they are sooo cute and refreshing for outdoors or in 🍋

  8. Susan B

Saw them and they were really cute!

Keep in mind … it’s highly likely that these dishes are made in China and may possibly contain too much lead. Just something to think about.

    • Gigi

Just about everything is made in China.

    • Marcy

Yes, I agree. Unfortunately, U.S. regulations for toxicity levels in imported goods are much less strict than in Europe and even goods that China makes for it’s own consumption. I try to buy handmade or local whenever possible, but I have to admit these dishes are so stinkin’ cute for Summer!

    • Sherri McGhee

do you KNOW if they are made in China?

Dollar tree is soon to raise prices: To shut up angry investors and line their pockets with more cold hard cash, Dollar Tree (DLTR) executives are finally budging on the notion of selling stuff for greater than $1.

Unfortunately, for the store’s lower income shoppers, that means their dollars will probably go less further than before. But hey, all in the name of a higher stock price, right?

    • hipsaver2

They are test a Dollar Plus item section in selected cities. I say, make it known by not buying the items. They aren’t raising the price on all items.

I’ve seen people post pictures of the apple version and pear version and they are really nice! In the DT in Canada they have the blue French Country floral ones and I am so jealous! I still haven’t seen any of these versions of these plates at any of the Denver ones I go to.

  12. ash.krist

While this may not be everyday China these would be nice for a spring/summer dinner party

  13. Noemi

My advice, only use DT pot holders as decor. They are NOT functional. The heat will go right through to your hand and burn you. Never again.

My store was wiped out but I was told by an employee to order online and ship to store…except I couldn’t get any of these items to ship to store when I went to the website and shipping cost was nearly as much as the product even though it says “Free ship to store” at the top of the page. So I called customer service – it was a long wait just for the rep to tell me “UPS isn’t allowing free shipping.” Huh? Presumably the free ship to store is because the customer orders come in with the regular shipments of merchandise, so I don’t think she knows what she’s talking about, but what else can I do. Guess I will be returning the few dinner plates I was able to purchase in store. Bummer.
