First ingredient is corn … won’t work for my dog but great deal for others to enjoy! Thank you for posting Hip2Save!

      Oh bummer! You’re welcome!

Curious if anyone has tried this and can recommend?

    • Chelsea

I would never recommend a kibble that’s main ingredient is corn

My total is coming to $17 once I clip both coupons, subscribe and save and free shipping. How is it $17 when each bag shouldn’t be much than $5?

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Hi Sherry! It appears the coupon is limited to one per customer. Hope that helps!

Please read the ingredients before buying — these ingredients look like they’re very low quality IMHO. It’s not just corn as the first ingredient but also unidentified meat and bone meal as the second (which means its cheap rendered meal that’s a mix of whatever carcasses find the way into the melting pot — not just cows, pigs, and chickens but possibly even zoo animals, shelter animals, horses — could be ANYTHING). The third ingredient is soybean meal. That means a lot of the protein is coming from legumes — which the FDA warned about recently being corelated to DCM (heart condition). Sometimes “cheap” is just that! On a tight dog-food budget, I think you get a lot more value in a bag of Kirkland chicken & rice food from Costco (or 4Health chicken & rice from TSH–same food–both store bands are basically private labeled versions of Diamond Naturals). At Costco, it’s under $30 for 40 lbs. You’ll get way more bang for your buck. Even Purina One with a coupon and sale is probably going to be a better value.

Big warning sign when the bag says beef or chicken FLAVOR, which means it’s not actual beef or chicken. Please feed your babies the best you could afford, or you will pay through the nose in vet bills later. Imagine if you ate a steady diet of ramen and beef jerky.

I was on the fence about buying one bag since it was so cheap, but yeah, I’ll skip this deal. For me, this crosses the line from “frugal” to “cheap.”

Thanks for the heads up, JD! Great offer! I don’t find it now as I search through. Darn!

PLEASE do not feed this food to your dog. First ingredient is corn, something that shouldn’t be in dogs food at all – let alone the MAIN ingredient! This is kibble junk food.
