Hmm I wonder what the real upkeep is like on this, could I set this up by myself would be so much fun this summer, I appreciate that the gallons IS listed ty
You are so welcome and this looks like a lot of fun!
I got a similar pool last year and I did purchase several accessories like a skimmer, solar cover, chlorine tablets, chlorine floater, and test strips. We tested water every day or two and added chlorine tablets when necessary. One small jug of Clorox tablets lasted through the summer for us with more spare. Only once or twice, we had to balance pH with baking soda. Skimming daily was necessary for us, but that just depends on the environment and how much you care about stuff in the water. We live in sunny So Cal and the solar cover was still a must to keep the water a comfortable temperature. We also put the pump on a timer and ran it every night for three hours.
I also highly recommend a tarp under this. We placed on cement and swept, vacuumed, and hosed it off and even yet, a few tiny pebbles remained and eventually tore holes in the bottom of the liner.
I set one up similar to this last year, very simple to do. You will want to of course find a flat spot to put it on
Thanks for letting us know it is a simple set up, Niki!
Just be aware of budgeting for other items you may need to keep the pool up such as chemicals, a pool cover, bug/leaf skimmer, etc.
it’s easy to keep up these kind of pools as long as you put the right chemicals in…this one is too small for our family cause our kids are grown, but we are on the hunt for a new one because after 6 years our other had enough
Any ideas about the weight of the packaged pool? Will I need a truck to pick it up or should i spend the $75 to have it delivered to the house is my question.
Kohl’s shipped ours for free. It’s heavy but not sooo heavy I couldn’t manage it myself. The box was smaller than I expected
Where can I get the filter cartridges at?? It’s a type I. I have checked Walmart and target and looked on Amazon.. and nothing.
Same! I found a 2 pack of type 1 on amazon but they are $12. I got the type V instead which are the same size but the center hole is a little wider. I haven’t tried it yet, our pool has only been up and running a week but I think they will work. I got 12 filters for $20 on amazon.
I even called Bestway and that was pointless. The lady couldn’t tell me anything other than go on their website and under accessories but there is no type 1 filter for sale on their website.
