Jump on this now! It’s rare for Nintendo to discount their Triple A games like the ones listed above. Especially for 20$ off!! Prob wont see these prices again till black friday maybe. If they do on sale again soon before black friday it most likely wont be as big of a discount as this, most likely 5-10$ off at most maybe. So if your looking for more great games for your switch then now is the time unless you wanna wait till black friday.

What is the benefit of buying digital games instead of the cartridges, aside from having to tote the cartridges around? I feel like I’ve seen some good prices on the physical games lately, but wonder if I should be purchasing digital instead (the switch itself is a gift that won’t be given for another month, and I have no experience using or experimenting with it, and I’m not at all tech savvy in the gaming world). Any insights would be much appreciated!

My son has a Switch and the games are SO TINY, maybe the size of a Quarter. I believe the digital is just more convenient because you dont have to mess with the cartridges at all.

The digital is functional for one account holder. But if children are playing it under different accounts on the switch to save their progress individually than physical game is better since multiple accounts can play it.

Both Coupon Katie’s and J’s answer are pretty much spot on, however if your kids are like me and like to have a collection on a bookshelf or so then yea physical games with the boxes are good for that. Also if you do buy physical and end up not liking it then you kinda have to stick with it cause I dont think Nintendo nor many other stores do returns on digital purchases at all, whereas with physical games you can return them if you don’t like them or trade/sell them if you ever get tired of them or lend them to friends if you want. Plus with the switch, unlike the ps4 and xbox one, the games are played from the cartridge and don’t need to be downloaded to a hard drive, only the updates for the game have to the be downloaded unlike the ps4 and xb1 where they need to download the entire game and update to the hard drive. So if you plan on going digital then you’re going to need a large micro sd card to store all the games. Though the prices of Micro SD cards has gone down in price tremendously since the switch released which is good. If you plan on going physical then you wont really need a large micro sd card , just something decent size for updates and such and maybe a downloaded game here and there. Either way you’re going to want to get a micro SD card to go along with it cause the switch only has 32gb of storage inside it some of which is already being used by the OS and such. So you really only get like 25gb to use for storage. But the price of Micro sd cards has gone down a lot lately so its quite affordable now to get like a 100gb micro sd card for less then 30$ from a reputable brand.
