Here are a few free Microsoft Camps to choose from:
Harry Potter Creative Coding Camp
In this free two-day, 2-hour camp series students eight and above learn to make and then hack “spells” with the Harry Potter Kano Coding Kit wand. While they have fun with the wand, they will be exploring coding concepts such as algorithm, loops, and debugging.
Gaming Summer Camp
This free four day, 2-hour camp offers students eight and older lessons in developing positive life skills like teamwork, communication, and resilience via group discussions and unplugged activities. Each session features a fun competitive gaming team tournament with Rocket League that helps reinforce the camp’s learning objectives and puts gaming skills to the test.
MakeCode Arcade Camp
This free four day, two-hour camp teaches students eight and up to design and build video games using block coding and fundamental gaming and coding concepts in MakeCode Arcade.
Ohbot Camp
This free two-day, 2-hour camp series using the Ohbot robot teaches students eight and up coding and robotics via rap battles and chose-your-own-adventure-style programming.
Thank you 😊
You are so welcome, Susan!
Thanks for posting! My store also has a 4 day (2 hours/day) offering for “Start your own business, ages 8+” which my kids are excited about.
Awesome! That sounds like a great class, Sandy!
We thought so too! They’re big “Shark Tank” fans, so this class seems perfect for them. Thanks again for the post!
Thank you so, so much for this! We live in Northern Virginia, and camps here can be so pricey! My Minecraft-obsessed son is going to be thrilled.
Thank you very much.
You are welcome, Annie!
This is an interesting summer camp for kids. My kids are into a karate summer camp for this year. Maybe I could enroll them next year with Microsoft summer camp. I am glad you shared it.
