The thought of straws I can’t see through just bothers me. I never trust they are clean. I was given some a few months ago. Even though I personally washed them each time the kids used them I just couldn’t take it. I threw them away. We have glass ones we use at home. I’ll have to come up with something for travel ones.

Glass ones are a great suggestion, Charmel!

I agree with you, after a bad experience with stainless steel that came with my Ninja.lol

  2. Nita

I know I always pass on these for the same reason.

I would be wary of using straws I can’t see inside to clean. Even when washed in the dishwasher, mold can form in straws like this. We use paper straws.

Thanks so much for the warning! I haven’t grabbed these yet.

I have some silicone straws and I love them. Just use the attached cleaner wand to clean the inside of the straws. I’ll pass Aldi ones because I like wider straws.

Thanks for the helpful comment, Winnie!

Paper straws. Great idea. Wonder why the industry’s still making plastic straws? Considering the environmental issues they’re causing, especially in the oceans.

    • Jessica

Because paper straws are disgusting and disintegrate immediately.

We use the small brush to clean out our stainless steel straws at least twice a week.

Awesome I use the silicone ones for my disabled daughter and this is a great price.
Hope I can find them I’ll be stocking up!!

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Oh perfect! Hope you spot them in your store!

I picked up the silicone ones and love them. Surprisingly they worked for our morning smoothies despite being the smaller diameter!
