I teach preschool at a childcare. Can a teachers event be held on a weekend day so we can attend?

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Hi Deb! Be sure to check the dates and times for your store as they can vary. Hoping there is one available that works for you!

Am I able to order the color pencil wall decor in the picture?

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Great question! I don’t find those online as I search through now. Darn!

  4. Julie

I wish that things were held on the weekend too, so that those of us that work year long could go to some of the events. Unfortunately, the event close to me is on a weekday, so I will miss out.

  5. Patricia

When I tried to join the wait list, it told me I already had email with my IKEA Family account, when I went to login with my email and IKEA Family number, it told me my email did not exist. What should I do next?

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Darn! Maybe try again in a different browser to see if that might help.

IKEA canyon is my closest store. I’m not seeing a teacher event for there. 🙁

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Bummer! You could always call in to your location to double check. Hoping that helps!

    • Nicole

I didn’t see it for Canton either. Disappointing because I will drive the hour to get there if they have one!

  7. Dawn

Does this apply for homeschooling families as well?

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

You could always call in to your location to be sure! Hope that helps!

  8. Brittany

I love Ikea but ours only has one event per year which are always held on days teachers have to work whether it is during our pre-planning or first few weeks of school. It is very disappointing and frustrating for all of us who live outside of the Atlanta perimeter on a different schedule than Atlanta Public Schools who are able to attend.

I AM para at elementary school and I will be in self contain room . Can I still get help from Ikea . IAM like an teacher .

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Good question! Maybe call in to your location to be certain on how they might honor that for you. Hoping that helps!

what does it mean when the event says FULL on the website?

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Hmm, It looks like you can RSVP for some locations and that they may have a limit. They may also have a wait list for those that are “full”. Maybe call in to your store for additional details. I have added a note to the post! Hope that helps!

My teacher pals and I met at ikea for this event in Jacksonville and I was very disappointed. Nothing relevant was offered and the only perk we got was a coupon for the restaurant. You should have offered a percentage off all purchases or something. We work hard and spend a lot of money on our classrooms with little pay.
None of us purchased anything. Very rare to walk out of ikea empty handed.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Oh darn! Sorry to hear about that, Susan. Thanks for sharing your experience with us!

Any body has an idea as to what would be the welcome gift.
