(Thanks, Benjamin!)
I always find these recalls to be enlightening. It’s sad that it’s happening, but really great to learn that the same company makes all of these different brands. I’ll never pay a premium price for Wonder bread again – Aldi here I come!
Agreed!
Exactly! I laugh when “food snobs” I know won’t shop at Aldi or Walmart. Guess what? You’re paying 3x the price for the EXACT same food!
I never understood this! I am a total foodie, and go to aldi for about 3/4 of my groceries!
they also came from aldies
If you like Wonder bread get it at Dollar Tree. The Dollar Tree near me carries Wonder Bread, Nature’s Own Wheat and at times Cobblestone Bread and Wonder bread 18ct hot dog buns.
That’s where I buy most of our bread. Wonder for everyone else and Nature’s Own for myself. I’m the only one who eats whole wheat bread and rarely finishes off a whole loaf. So, it’s the best possible deal, for me.
Have you ever tried freezing your bread? I don’t go through much so put half in the freezer and it thaws out nicely when ready for it. No more wasted bread!
Wow, I didn’t realize that Dollar Tree carried Nature’s Own. Thanks for the tip.
Aldi was on the list —- all were generic versions.. reread it
All the bread comes from the Flowers company and distributed under different names. I think that is what is what the individuals above are referring to. It’s all the same bread with different labels/names.
Just because one company makes them doesn’t mean they are all the same quality. I don’t buy wonder bread personally but I do prefer nature’s own and have also tried several generic brands that don’t measure up in taste or texture.
YESSSS!!!!!!!
I think clover valley is dollar general
Thanks! I just bought the hotdog buns at Sams Club. Saw on the news about a hotdog bun recall but Sams wasn’t listed so thought I was ok:/
You are welcome, R!
Last night, I realized that no one had opened the Great Value buns I bought for the 4th of July. It’s still in date. So, it’ll be going back tomorrow.
