Um it says the regular price is $79.99?? I don’t think so!
Whoops! Thanks for catching! Just updated!
I think you mean $180 not $80 =P
You’re right! Sorry for the confusion! The post has been updated!
Typo! lol
Thanks for the heads up! Just fixed!
Has anyone had this car seat before? We’re in the market for one for our third baby. We have convertible ones and boosters that we will be able to use when this baby gets older, so only need an infant seat. I’m SO out of the loop on car seats! TIA!
Best car seat ever
LOVE Chicco car seats. I would absolutely buy it again
Yay – good to know! THANK you!!!
We love it to! We are impressed with their customer service – ours came with a slight cosmetic flaw in the cover, nothing safety related, and they sent us a free new cover quickly!
I have always used graco for my kids. But when I watch my friends baby, this one was super easy to install, both with the base and without. Only downfall is it’s heavy compared to graco. I think like 7lbs more which doesn’t sound like alot but add in a 15lb baby and it makes a difference lol
Just want to add, it’s one of the most narrow infant seats and small front to back so great for 3 across installations or for smaller cars
That’s what we’ve always used, too, but my sister-in-law has a Chicco for their new baby, so this got me wondering when I saw this on H2S! Yes – the weight would definitely make a difference…especially for my weak arms! Haha!
I highly recommend checking out carseats for the littles. they have a website, fb page and private fb group. They review every seat available on the market and recommend what works for certain vehicles. The keyfit is on their recommend list also
We absolutely loved ours! It was simple to install but felt secure. We will definitely use it again for our next baby.
Yay! SO glad to hear how much you liked this one! Thanks as ton for your review!
We’re on our third as well and all 3 have used this seat. We love it
Love mine. She’s almost 2 and still rear facing.
If someone is considering this seat, it IS awesome, but being able to rearface until 2 years old is highly unusual. Please don’t expect to get two years out of this seat with one baby. Most babies outgrow by height before weight.
I love this seat!!!
8 years ago it was rated #1 by Consumer Reports! We used it for our boys and loved it.
Wouldn’t buy any other brand!!! I LOVE everything about my Chicco carseat and stroller but one of the most impressive is how much lighter it is than the other brands, I have friends with other brand car seats and when you are carrying it with the infant inside the others felt like they were twice as heavy. We had 2 bases, one for each car, they are less bulky than other brands also and are very easy to snap and unsnap the car seat into! I highly recomment the Chicco Keyfit to anyone who asks, worth every penny, especially at this price!!!!!!
We used this car seat with the first two and would definitely recommend! Now with baby #3 on the way I’m debating whether to buy a new one or wait since the one we’ve used in the past will expire only 4 months after baby is due. I wonder if this is a better price than the target car seat trade in🤔
Probably this deal would be better. BUT this is the Keyfit 22, not 30. The baby will outgrow this one at 22 pounds. Something to consider.
Please remember that most babies outgrow this seat by height before weight.
My car seat like this expired only 3 months after baby number 2 was born. We used it for that brief time and then we moved baby into big brothers former Graco 4ever car seats (with their 10 years they will expire when baby is 5). And moved big brother into the Graco Nautilus seats (they also have a 10 year life span so may work all the way until baby is too big! Or pretty close!) that we bought a less than half price Black Friday target buy.
This worked out well for us as I mostly baby wear when out and about anyway!
I switched my baby to a convertable seat at about 4 months. She was in a graco snugride infant seat… It was hard and uncomfortable. I only used the carrier on the infant seat a few times so that was the only benefit to the seat. It was part of a travel system. Preferred to hold my baby. There wasn’t any downfall for us… If you could skip buying an infant seat to save and what you have is all safe and within dates I see no reason not to skip it.
