Walgreens Wexford $3 Backpacks

We have had one of these backpacks for a year. My daughter uses it for sleepovers and camp, not school, and it’s held up very well and looks the same as day one but has only had gentle use.

If you want a few hundred or thousand backpacks of this quality and price, I recommend bags in bulk dot com. I worked with them for a youth camp this summer. The bags end up being about $3 each, had plenty of variety, and were well loved by the campers.

Oh cool! Thanks so much for the helpful suggestion, Kris P! Good to know!

Love Bags in Bulk! Found them a couple of years ago and order hundreds a couple of times a year. They’re great.

Thanks for this deal. My daughter is starting her Girl Scout silver award project- care bags for teens in foster care- and these will be perfect 🙂

Please don’t completely clear the rack so you can donate bulk. Leave some on the rack to allow those with lower incomes who are able to, to buy this on their own. Side note, haven’t seen this posted: Amazon offer 50% off Prime membership to anyone on food stamps!

That’s exactly why I went Sunday morning to get ours. And, thankfully, our store had not even put them out yet so we got to choose straight from the box!

So far, these backpacks have done us well thru elementary years. And even after the school year is over, there’s still life in it to use it for camp or other activities. I look for the sale every summer 🙂

Oh awesome! Happy to hear these have held up well each year! Thanks a bunch for sharing your experience with us!

This is perfect for my son going into 3k. He needs a backpack but I didn’t want to spend a lot at this stage.

Just bought 40 of these little guys at three different Walgreens (and no, I didn’t clear them out) for donations! Some friends and I have worked together the past five years or so with the goal to supply at least 50 kids with school supplies. Everything from crayons to notebooks to scissors and glue. We take the supplies to a local comic/game store that has a nonprofit set up for school supplies and lunch/breakfast for needy kids, as well as hygiene kits for foster kids.

We try to make a game of it, to see how cheaply we can buy each item to stretch our dollars. There’s a spreadsheet and everything. This year, Staples twice emailed me coupons for $10 off a $10 purchase, so yay, TOTALLY FREE CRAYONS! Last year, we lucked out at Target’s after-season sale, and got 300+ composition notebooks for five cents each — that’s like FREE!

Frankly, by the time September rolls around, we’re thoroughly sick of thinking about school supplies. But it’s for the children! 😀

Thanks so much for the service you are providing to your community, Jeanine! Not only is it money, but this also involves a lot of time!
