Kids STEAM Day of Play Event at Walmart on July 27th | Make Slime, Tie-Dye & More
Get the kiddos out for a day of free fun! On Saturday, July 27th from 10AM – 4:30PM local time, head to a participating Walmart store where they’ll be hosting a STEAM Day of Play Event!
Kiddos will be able to participate in fun activities and learn how to create slime, tie-dye, and make a cereal necklace.
To easily find a participating store, head here, enter your zip code, and click GO. Then scroll down to find the most convenient location.
I just called my local walmart, and they had no idea of any such event, even though my store is supposedly participating, when I enter my zipcode 🤷🏻♀️
Mine didn’t know either when I called. It’s an outside vendor coming in.
Same in union city?? Peachtree City said go to union city ???
The children are very 😥
The outside vendor at ours was completely unorganized. We did manage to make a small thing of slime and a cereal necklace but I literally had to go help the vendor pick out the appropriate product in Walmart for the necklace. Tie Dye wasn’t set up and ready to go so he let me have a free white t-shirt to take home for our own use.
Ours put it on but it was a waste of time. They basically made a big thing of slime on their own, & just have the kids a teeny tiny amount of it in a bag. They said they were doing the other stuff every couple of hours. We didn’t stick around for it. It’s kind of a waste for stores to put stuff like this on. Every Walmart or target event I’ve been to has been like this. It’s a good opportunity to bring people into the stores, but it’s not utilized well at all.
This was the same way at our Wal-Mart as well. We walked the whole store looking for it, to end up empty-handed. No employee knew anything about it, either.
