Just ordered for my daughter for Christmas. Im obsessex with my instant, pot and she always wants to push the buttons so now she will have her own!!
Yay! That’s awesome, katie!
My daughters love the “steam” that comes out!
It looks really cool, Linds! Glad to hear they like it!
Or the headline could read, “Just like Daddy.”
No truer statement jodi!! š
Lol true in my household. My husband cooks the most and growing up, my dad did the majority of cooking.
You are right, Jodi! Thanks for pointing that out!
Thank you for sharing this . My 4 year old loves to pretend play in her little kitchen and this would be a great addition. I’m a kindergarten teacher and pretend play is such an important part of their day when they are 4, 5 and 6 . I believe it’s fuel for their imagination.
You are welcome, Danyal!
What an incredible waste of money. How about actually teaching them how to cook. Away from touching hot pans obviously. Its a “hobby” they can learn and earn.
I agree. My cousin taught me this years ago. Instead of spending money on the Easy Bake oven, teach them to use the microwave and oven. A much better use of resources and return on investment in my opinion.
That is much more fun and can be a great learning experience that can last a lifetime. I learned how to cook from the time i was 3-5
Why not both?? It’s not a waste of money to me. Kids learn through play. Good grief.
Well the children of this so called sour puss will have a talent to be able to use throughout life. Some children will be able to cook when older and some will be good at putting their toys in the toybox. To each his or her own ..
Or you can let people decide for themselves what is or isn’t a waste of money. I know that my kid certainly wasn’t able to actually learn how to use an instant pot at 12 mos. š Do you feel this way about other fun things like bubble blowing lawnmowers?
I wonder how many toys ran through your mind before you settled on Bubble Mower?
Geeze, such a sourpuss. Kids learn through play. That’s what toys are for, to have fun and pretend.
Just because you don’t see value in it doesn’t mean you should criticize others. Have you heard of pretend play? My girls love to play restaurant or to cook me “dinner”, and then bring me a new meal again two minutes later. I’ve probably eaten ten pretend meals in a fifteen minute time period between both of my girls. Sure, it’s great to teach children actual things, like helping with basic cooking. But for pretend play (which, by the way, is vital for a child’s healthy development) toys like these are good options.
I def was not trying to take any of the enjoyment away from the little ones. I only stated MY opinion. Its not an online petition to prevent parents from buying.
As for your littles ones…… oh my goodness it is absolutely adorable when a little one cooks in their cozy kitchen or makes tea because yes they will present you with meals snacks tea and coffee and light up when you ‘eat’ or ‘drink’ it.
My comment while inciting many critcs was mostly due to the price of the toy and not about stifling imagination
Iād get this for $10-$15. I hope they put it lower closer to Christmas.
I have never seen more people create an argument out of nothing. As ok as it is for someone to say they like it, its as easy for someone to say they dont. Hahahahaha who said anyone wasnt “allowing” anyone to buy it or make that choice. I couldnt care less if you do or not. I was just letting all the people with expendible cash know that since i wouldnt buy there will be one extra on the shelf for anyone else to buy. Your welcome. Good grief charlie brown. Some of you must be the life of the party.
Yes, we are entitled to our opinions, but you’re not immune to any criticism received on a public forum post! And you originally stated it was “a waste of money”, then came back and changed what you meant by saying it had to do with the price. It’s $20, which is very reasonable, not $100! And it’ll probably be on sale in a few months anyway. Then you make a statement about teaching them how to cook. I agree with that, but kids develop differently. That’s great if you got your kids in the kitchen early!
My boys were just not interested in learning how to cook at a young age, and I wasn’t going to force them to join me in the kitchen. A few times here and there they’d help out. It wasn’t until my oldest turned 15, that he started hanging out with me more, asking questions and taking an interest in meal prep and actual cooking. He’s 17 now, and has several meals he’s proud to serve! (on the flip side, his room is a hot mess. I guess all that teaching him real life experiences of putting his toys away when he was younger, somehow went out the window at 13 LOL)
Anyway, this toy fits with what’s current. It’s a popular appliance, so of course a toy manuf is gonna jump on making a pretend model! This is a deal savings site, and lots of deals are posted every day. On the one’s I’m not interested in, I scroll on by and certainly don’t post that it’s a waste of money (unless it’s something that I have used/owned, then I give my honest review and opinion). But that’s just me!
We made an unboxing video of the one stop pot if you want to check it out
