Never bought this brand, how are they compared with LEGO? Are they totally different?
My 10 yr old asks for these over legos 🤷🏼♀️
Thanks for commenting, Ellen! My daughter has LEGOs but I want to try these out and see if she likes them!
Different. You don’t built items other than initial set up. It’s like a doll house but different settings/themes.
Thanks for your feedback on these, Joe mama!
My 10 and 7 year old both love Playmobil! They are great quality and stay together well but are very different than Legos.
We LOVE playmobil. We have the zoo set and my 5 1/2 year old spends hours and hours playing with it. He’s had it since he was 4. He now saves his allowances to purchase more playmobil animals to go with the set. Playmobil is just so well made. There is so much detail in every set.
Playmobil are much better for creative play in my opinion. I have observed with Legos that my grandchildren like the challenge of putting them together but then they don’t really play with them, in addition if you play with them they are subject to coming apart. Playmobil are European, not much to put together, but much easier for little hands as they are considerably bigger than Lego people. They are very well made.
I just bought the zoo set for $25 in store, quite afew sets are heavily discounted!
What a great deal! Thanks for sharing your find with us!
There were lots of playmobil sets in store that were clearanced. I saw some larger sets were 50% off. My kids prefer legos, we actually sold the playmobil we had because they didn’t play with it.
SWEET! I’ll have to check my store. My Nephew would love these! Thanks so much for taking the time to comment!
My sister and I grew up playing with Playmobil and have now passed our 2 Rubbermaid totes full down to her kids. They absolutely love it and now I get to buy new sets for them (quite honestly, I just want to buy them all because I love Playmobil so much). I agree with the above commenter that they are WAY better for imagination and the quality is unmatched in my opinion. To put it in perspective, I am 36 and my sister is 33; our Playmobil from childhood looks brand new.
Agree that they hold up really well!! My boys are hard on toys and the Playmobil is the one toy that still looks new! Fair warning….there are usually lots of little pieces that I feel like I am constantly picking up! So much so, that I put some of them into a storage container on a top shelf. LOL
