Mac & Cheese Now Available Nationwide at Chick-fil-A
After performing overwhelmingly well in five test markets, mac and cheese has been added to Chick-fil-A menus nationwide. As of today, this classic comfort food can be now be ordered as a stand-alone snack or a side option with any lunch, dinner, kid’s meal or catering order.
In fact, Stetson ventured out to his local Chick-fil-A earlier today to give it a try! See what he thought of the Mac & Cheese on this Hip2Save Facebook live here.
I thought it was really good and cheesy! I tried the regular size for $3.15 – but after seeing it, I would have spent $6.15 for the large as I felt like you got a great amount with the large container vs the regular. The small portions are a bit small and if you are a Mac & Cheese lover like myself that just isn’t enough!
With that being said, any portion will taste the same and this Mac & Cheese was worth every penny as it came out hot and cheesy. It seemed like it was extra cheesy in my opinion. If you love Mac & Cheese, you have to give Chick-fil-A a GO! – Stetson
Chick-fil-A’s version of mac and cheese features a classic, homestyle recipe with a blend of cheddar, parmesan, and Romano cheeses. It’s baked fresh in-restaurant each day.
“Mac & Cheese is the quintessential comfort food, and something we are so excited to offer our guests at Chick-fil-A. We think it’s the perfect pairing with our Original Chicken Sandwich, nuggets and our grilled chicken offerings, but it’s also great on its own as a snack,” said Amanda Norris, executive director of menu and packaging. “Mac & Cheese is also available on our catering menu as a quick pick-up for a larger gathering. It has a delicious, homemade taste!”
This new menu item is currently selling in small and medium sizes priced at $2.49 and $3.09 respectively. It’s the first new side item to be added to the Chick-fil-A menu since 2016, and it’s already poised to become a fan favorite!
We tested 5 boxed mac and cheese dinners, and here’s what we really thought…
They need to bring back their cole slaw. The took it off the menu to be healthier and now they added mac and cheese?
Good question!
I miss the coleslaw…Also..Was Was when they got rid of it…
Good point Ann, mac & cheese is definitely not healthier! We always ordered coleslaw to go on our sandwiches. My husband also misses the carrot salad!
They released the recipe when they got rid of it as a menu item. This is the recipe I use and like it even though I never had it in their restaurant.
I miss their carrot/raisin salad!
That sounds yummy, Lauren!
I wish they would bring back the chicken strip salad!!
You can request chicken strips on any of their salads.
I used to work at Chick-fil-A and the items you’re mentioning were rarely ordered. That’s probably why they got rid of them.
Most people ordered a sandwich and fries …go figure, huh? SMH
I love Chick-fil-a! I also miss their cole slaw & also their carrot raisin salad…they were yummy!
Recipe for carrot raisin salad is online:

My 3 year old son had some and he loved it. It was tasty, but I love fries.
LOL! Maybe you can eat it with the fries, Naomi?
I had it today! It was soooooo good!!!!!
SO glad you enjoyed it!
I miss their chicken salad!! Maybe it’s just my location?
They discontinued the chicken salad. =( It was one of my only “safe foods” with my last hyperemesis pregnancy. You can now find the recipe online, but I haven’t tried it myself. My kids will be happy for mac n cheese!
Same here…loved the chicken salad sandwich
Me too!
Had this in Baltimore for a few years now. It’s very good. Tastes good as a sandwich topping or on top of large waffle fries too. My whole family loves it! Glad everyone can have it now!
I like the idea as a sandwich topping! Thanks, Richard!
Tried it today. No impressed. Tasted like cafeteria or Walmart deli Mac and Cheese. 😕 Thankfully our store was giving it away with a sandwich purchase, I would have been upset if I’d paid for it.
Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts with us, Lisa. Sorry to hear you didn’t care for it. I haven’t tried it yet!
Not impressed.
Love Chick-fil-A!!!!! Best fast food and service ever!!! Can’t wait to try it!!!!
My husband said it was gross. Like from the Walmart deli.
We didn’t love it. But we do love CFA!
