FYI this is one of the worst hair shampoo/conditioners I have EVER USED. It was GOD AWFUL. I talked to a hairstylist and she said that Pantene is the absolutely worst one out there because it’s pure wax that they use the ingredients literally coat your had in pure wax and residue whatever it is.

    • Cassandra (Hip Sidekick)

Oh yikes! So sorry Pantene wasn’t a good fit for you but we sure appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback, Bob!

  2. Lynn

Love this stuff!!!! It is amazing for finer hair and there is no weigh down.

    • Jennifer (Hip Sidekick)

So glad to hear that, Lynn! Thanks for letting us know it works for finer hair!

  3. Marie

Worst conditioner of my life. Will never use again even if its free.

  4. L

I have the conditioner and it is HORRIBLE!!!! It actually tangles my hair N makes it feel dry. Im throwing my away!!! Don’t buy it!!!!

    • Cassie Sue

I ended up using it as shaving foam, because it was awful in my hair. it dried mine out too which was a bummer because I was hoping to like it.

  5. Mj

I got this as a free sample a while back and it was awful for my long, curly, thick hair. I threw it out.

  6. Rachel

Yikes! Sounds like people hate this brand. I got a sample of Dove foam conditioner and actually really liked that one.

    • Daniela

I actually use mine as a leave in styler because it washes out awful. But leaves my curls cute during the day lol. It was free at Walgreens so I am ok with it.

      • Jennifer (Hip Sidekick)

That’s an interesting way to use it, but glad you found a good use, Daniela!

I purchased the Herbal Essence Blue Ginger one last week and have enjoyed it so far. It also smells great. It was a little strange at first as it feels like you’re rubbing shaving cream in your hair.

  8. Elaine

Yeah, it’s not great. I got a bunch for free w/ coupons when Kroger had them on clearance. I’m determined to use it up, but I definitely will not be getting any more!

    • Jennifer (Hip Sidekick)

Thanks so much for letting us know, Elaine!

These hate comments are hilarious. I have been using Pantene for over 10 years. Beautiful Lengths specifically. My hair is very long and soft and shiny. And I’m 57. Every time I have tried another brand I hate it and go right back. Every brand acts differently on different people.

    • L

It’s not Pantene brand because the regular shampoo and conditioner is fine it’s foam!!

    • joy

You said it yourself a brand works differently on each person but start off mocking others before reading their feedback closely. They are reacting specifically to the foam conditioner mentioned in the post above, not Pantene brand hair care as a whole..

      • Sue

I think you are the one that needs to read the comments more closely. I don’t see her mocking anyone. Did you happen to read the first comment? I think they said that all pantene products are wax? I like pantene products. I have not tried foam but every other pantene product has been great on my long wavy thick hair. It works great at getting tangles out on the shower. It also works well on my daughters super thin curly blonde hair. I wish people would quit jumping to the worst case scenario and quit being so sensitive to comments. Everything is not an attack on others. People are so quick to put on their boxing gloves to fight and point fingers. Remember the saying if you can’t say anything nice then don’t say anything at all. Next time just think about that before you write a comment. Only leave legitimate reviews, honest feedback, real questions etc… let’s keep the other stuff out of this. I hope you live up to your name and actually find Joy, peace and love. I told the group one day I hoped everyone had and a great day and I got people telling me very nasty things. All I said was to have a great day. So I can Imagine what will be said here. But Joy have a great day! Be positive!

Everyone has an opinion and if I’m not mistaken is welcome to share their experiences whether good or bad! Don’t get offended if people don’t like a product you do. Simple.

Pantene is the number one selling hair care product line (both shampoo and conditioner) in the United States. The Pantene Foam has been a flop in terms of sales which is why it is at Dollar Tree. This product (the FOAM line) has been discontinued from P&G due to poor sales.

Hey guys don’t throw it out I didn’t like it for my hair but I’ve been using it as shaving cream and its amazing❤❤

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Thanks so much for the helpful tip! I may try that!

    • Cassie Sue

Me too! It works fine for that, and a nice way to use it up without feeling like I totally wasted my money.

  13. Dawn

Hey, if nothing else, pick it up and donate! There are a lot of people who would love to have it. Make a difference.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

What a sweet idea! Thanks for the suggestion, Dawn!

Every time (no matter the forum or site) someone posts a Pantene deal, people come out of the woodworks to say how bad Pantene is. There has been no scientific evidence to suggest that Pantene is any worse than other commercial shampoos (virtually all contain the same ingredients). What works for some people’s hair may not work for other people’s hair. There was a whole hullabaloo a few years ago where people were claiming their hair was catching on fire when they went to get it color-treated at salons. The salons tried to claim it was because of Pantene shampoo, but were never able to prove it. Cosmetic chemists even said that there is no ingredient in Pantene that is flammable. It was most likely because of heavy metals or henna in the person’s hair. I’m certainly not saying all salons are doing this, but I suspect many are losing money because Pantene is popular, so they are telling people Pantene’s bad to get them to buy the expensive salon brands.
