I was just going to ask that. Most of the time these are not food safe. To be truthful even if they are I wouldn’t trust them.
The bottom of these plates say dishwasher and microwave safe. Don’t know what you’d be doing with them in the microwave or dishwasher if you aren’t eating food off of them? It doesn’t say anything about not food safe.

I bought a ceramic mug at dollar tree once and the handle broke off in a few days. I like to go there for other disposable seasonal things or things like bandaids for my 4 year old doctor but I won’t buy plates/mugs anymore.
I love looking at the seasonal stuff there. Had to choose between Aldi for mums or DT because my kiddo was done. The mums are gorgeous and at $2.99 were a huge bargain compared to anywhere I’ve seen!
Bought the pumpkin spice and sweater weather mugs the other day. Can’t wait to use them 😊
