I bought the oats scent. It smells son good!

    • Liza (Hip Sidekick)

Thanks for the recommendation, Winnie! I’ve been wanting to try the Whole Blends, I might grab that one first!

  2. Mrs BK

    Great deal! Thanks

    • Liza (Hip Sidekick)

      You’re welcome, Mrs BK!

The Oat one is my favorite. Smells good and feels so silky soft. This is the best price I’ve found.

    • Liza (Hip Sidekick)

Thank you taking a moment to share your favorite, Deb! 🙂

I was able to get the coupons to apply online, but wanted to avoid shipping charges (pick-up in store wasn’t available for me) so I went to my closest Walgreens to do the deal. I clipped the coupons in the app, but the cashier couldn’t get the $4 manufacturer coupon to come off, only the $1 Walgreens coupon. The manager claimed there was nothing she could do and wouldn’t take it off so I left the store with nothing. Most times when I try using coupons at Walgreens it never works out. So frustrating because this is such a great deal. Thanks for sharing it Hip2Save.

There is a $4/2 coupon in the 9/8 R if that helps.

I just commented on this same thing last week. My walgreens coupons almost never come off. It was suggested I call customer service if I have the issue again, which I’m sure I will when I try this deal

Check your online cart and make sure it is empty. Sometimes if coupons are pending in your cart, they don’t come off right.

Also if you’re typing in your phone number, sometimes that doesn’t always work. I’ve had 98% success by using my Apple wallet, or scan the digital card on your phone. It works better.

Thanks for the great tips, QueenJen!

Oh my gosh, I thought this was just me. This happened a couple of weeks ago. Added coupons to my card, put in my phone number and they didn’t come off. Didn’t even realize until the cashier asked me if I had coupons and I said yes. We looked at the screen and only 1 of my coupons came off. She manually entered the rest for me! I didn’t realize there is actually a probably with this happening. This is completely annoying.

Walgreens will not let you use two online coupons together. You can use one from their booklet and an online manufacture one.

  6. Jessica D Goforth

My walgreens manager had to manually enter the savings book coupon but it worked. Cheap conditioner for me!

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Oh good! Thanks for letting us know how it worked for you!

  7. Imsofrugal

I was once told that you can’t add the coupons and use them in the same day. So I added them this morning and will use them tomorrow.

I just tried to do this deal and had a bad experience. The $4 digital coupon would not come off. I brought it to the cashier’s attention. He said I couldn’t use the digital coupon because the shampoo and conditioner were already on sale and that would make them “too cheap”. He said that Walgreens doesn’t like their customers to get things for “too cheap”. I asked if there was a manager in. The cashier said “ya, but he doesn’t really like to come out for things like this”. I remembered why I hate shopping at Walgreens.

    • Stacy F (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Oh no! That definitely would make me want to not go back to that Walgreens. That cashier was clearly not trained well. Sorry it didn’t work out for you, Sweetan.

    • R

It’s so annoying that a lot of employees don’t know that it’s ok for a customer to use a legitimate coupon that makes an item nearly free. It seems to really upset some of them. Puzzling…

  9. Debbie Young

I thought I had made it with both coupons accepted online fine but it wouldn’t let me ship to store and I didn’t want to pay the $5.99 shipping to home.

  10. Lo

My understanding is that if you have 3 coupons (manuf, store, store q) you need 3 items. So 2 whole blends and a filler. The coupons need to “attach” to an item. In store at least. HTH

    • Deb

I was told that too, so I wondered if this deal would work. Going to try it later today

  11. Shari

I’ve never used the coupon book at Walgreens. When I clip the coupons online, it says in the details ‘limit one coupon per purchase’. Does that mean one manufacturers coupon and one coupon from their booklet is allowed per item?

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Hi Shari! That means once coupon per qualifying item being purchased. Hope that helps!

  12. Amber

I went to Walgreens today with both coupons loaded to card. Everything worked perfectly. They rang up 2/$7 and I grabbed a photo print for $0.17. After tax I paid $1.80. Unfortunately in NY I have to pay tax on $7.17. Sorry for everyone else with issues.

    • Jennifer (Hip Sidekick)

Thanks for letting us know, Amber!
