Move Over, Amazon! Save $1 Off a Target.com Order NOW w/ Order Consolidation
As if we needed more reasons to love Target!
Target.com is offering shoppers a new way to save money – Order Consolidation perks!
Similar to Amazon’s No-Rush Shipping or Amazon Day Delivery, shoppers earn a reward in exchange for choosing a slower ship time and consolidating orders for less packaging. However, unlike Amazon who commonly offers digital credits to be used on future purchases, Target will apply the $1 savings to your current order! How awesome is that?
If you’re shopping on the app, you’ll see the no-rush option on a banner at the top of the checkout screen. If you’re shopping on your computer, look for the “Save $1 with Order Consolidation” option at the bottom of the checkout screen in Box 4. Just check off the box in either spot to score your easy $1 savings!
And, of course, you can always still opt for that quick 2-day shipping or free store pick-up as well.
Head here to check out all the Target deals you can snag!
(Thanks, Kalynn!)
I’m all for saving $1 I still think it’s funny just like other websites you can save and consolidate your shipping but they don’t do it LOL….BUT I will save the money.
Yes! I had an add on item from Target that I wanted for weeks (a simple plastic plate that cost about $1). It sat in my cart for awhile until I needed to order something else that was over $25. So I finally get the chance to add it to my order and then go figure, in a few days, it shows up separately from the other items in its own huge box anyway!
This isn’t anything new, I’ve had this option on Target’s website for a while now. Was it only previously available for REDcard holders or something?
I’ve been a REDCardholder for years and I’ve never seen it. They may have been test marketing it and you got to try it, jessawyer!
I’ve been selecting this option for a while now too
I’ve had this option for almost 2 years now.
This appears to be new for a lot of readers and team members, but that’s awesome you’ve been able to score the extra savings for so long, Kate! We sure appreciate you taking a minute to let us know about your experience!
I had this option a couple of times in the past year. It was nice to get $1 off my order and I didn’t mind waiting an extra day or two.
I’ve used this several times lately with wedding gifts 🎁 love it & the 5% Redcard savings
I’ve never had it! Thanks for posting!!! <3
You are so welcome!
I’ve been doing this and my package still usually arrives within 2 days!
I have had this option for probably a year now, too. It’s weird how some people have had this option and some haven’t.
You’re probably in a “test market”… you probably live in a city that’s not too big (like NYC), but not too small (like population 1 lol) and has an ideal balance of the target market they want … a city over where I live is a test market city- companies will roll out new products there all the time in the grocery stores, target, and Walmart to gauge the response to new products or new versions/flavors of products before a full scale roll out… it’s interesting to see some of the flavors of products they put out (some never go beyond the test market phase)… its like 30 minutes away so I don’t go there often, but always an interesting trip
I’ve been doing this for months now. 🙂
Lucky! I can’t wait to start using it since it’s new to me! Thanks, Casey!
I love that they’re giving me a dollar for something I’d prefer! I hate when they divide up large orders and you have to manage a half dozen deliveries via various shipment methods. Usually when I need something ASAP, it’s a single-order item anyway. Excited to try it!
Yay! It’s that nice!
I’ve never had this option and, frankly, it’s long overdue. I have avoided ordering from Target.com because their fulfillment is ridiculous. I have never had an order where I didn’t get everything almost in individual shipments. Once, I ordered a bunch of school clothes for my kids and it looked like I had a serious shopping problem because they shipped every single item separately. It’s wasteful and annoying. I imagine they are fulfilling orders both from warehouses AND stores (like many retailers), but as a consumer, I don’t like it and it discourages me from shopping with them.
