The LEGO Movie 2 Rex’s Rexplorer! Set Only $69.99 Shipped (Regularly $120)

The Lego Movie 2 Rex’s Rexplorer Building Kit makes one huge ship with plenty of moving parts. There were eight bags of pieces, but as usual, the instructions are clear and it’s just a matter of having the fun of building (while the other seven bags safely prevent all the pieces from being scattered. It’s also nice to have a few of the smaller components that can be played with while the full ship is being built. The items match the movie well.

This set was cool! I think they finally made a set from a movie that was the same size as it was in the movie. I love how each of the raptors had its weapons or place to sit in the ship, but this brings me to the reason I rated only 4 stars. It’s only one thing, but when i try to put the speeder back into the main ship with the raptor on it, the side wings on the speeder keep it from going all the way in, so I have to jam it in there. Other then that, great set, LEGO! All of the other weapons and figures of Rex’s fit inside nicely, and the set has great “swooshability”. One of my favorite sets so far!!

One of the coolest features is that the various weapons and extras all stow perfectly into the ship. There is a big gun that can mount on the back of a dinosaur, but when you’re not using it, it fits right into a storage spot in the ship, so you don’t have to just leave it sitting somewhere. There’s a little box of drinks that fits right into the back of the ship. Overall, it’s just a very impressive design. Fun to build and great to play with.
