I use this on our wool rug over hardwood. It’s a thick rug (.75”-ish) and I’ve never had issues with the wood floor underneath. This cleaner does such a great job!

Using professional carpet cleaner grosses me out so we clean our own, but I’d love a new machine—anyone own this?
I do. I love it. Built to last but darn….it’s heavy.
We bought this the last time it was on sale. We have owned several carpet cleaners through the years and have had professional cleanings, and this machine far outperforms either of those. It is heavy but extracts much more water. It didn’t take out all of the stains (we foster kittens and have terrible carpet) but it did help a lot. I’m really picky and usually have buyer’s remorse on large purchases but not on this. Oh, and it gets really close to edges.
We LOVE this carpet cleaner. It does a way better job than any company we have hired. It IS heavy and a bit of a workout but it took my dads carpet from needing replaced to looking like new.

Worth every penny. This cleans really well. It is a lot of work to use this machine, and it’s heavy, but I think it cleans better than a professional. Also, our dog got into something and got sick all over our carpet in every room, and this cleaned it all up–what a life saver.

Purchased about 2 years ago when it was on hip to save as a deal on amazon. Totally worth every penny -would recommend to anyone – but agree it is on the heavier side. Previously, I had a standup carpet cleaner that looked like vacuum and I never felt my carpets were totally clean, with this I am confident, as it does much better job and carpets look much cleaner!

We have this. Pushes and pulls as easy as a vacuum. I wouldn’t say it was “heavy” but it’s definitely bulky. We have a split level house and the stairs are still kinda tricky to clean. This machine is really simple and easy to use. I go over the carpet 3-5 times after I wet it and the dry time is maximum 2 hours. We were walking on it within a half to full hour in most cases, though.

We have this machine, too. It is a bit heavy and quite loud, but I think both of those things are to be expected. I just put in my earbuds, listen to a podcast or stand up comedian, and go to work! Carpets always turn out really nice. We have kiddos, but no pets, so I’m not sure how it works on pet stains first hand. All in all, I would 100% recommend this machine!
