We have a second fireplace and I can’t decide if another set of stockings would be silly or not. It’s a very rustic fireplace, with a piece of thin(ner) wood as the mantle. Typically I don’t decorate in that room too much because it’s not too put together yet, but I just love the look of stockings in front of a fireplace. We already have a set from Pottery Barn in our family room. Anyone have any thoughts/opinions on what to do for a second fireplace/if another set of stockings is overkill/any other ideas?
I hang two sets of stockings every year! I don’t have a fireplace upstairs but we have a ledge that we use to hang stockings and we use those to add small gifts. Then in our basement we have a fireplace and I hang stockings there as well! In my opinion you can never have too much holiday decor!

No, I usually only put items in the upstairs set. It’s right next to the tree so it’s just easier. Sometimes I’ll tuck a little gingerbread plush or snowman in the downstairs ones but they just peek out as a decoration rather than as a gift.
