Trader Joe's Felted Wool Garland

Have you seen what’s new at Trader Joe’s? 😍

Trader Joe’s seems to have a real knack for creating viral holiday products. Whether it’s feline advent calendars, crave-worthy limited-edition snacks, or fun holiday decor, TJ’s sure knows how to grab our attention at this time of year! The most recent seasonal product to catch our eye at Trader Joe’s is this Handcrafted Felted Wool Garland.

Trader Joe's Felted Wool Garland

Made from New Zealand wool that’s been hand-felted and strung in Nepal, this colorful garland would be such a fun addition to your Christmas tree, mantle, doorway, or any area of your home that could use a little pop of color this holiday season. These garlands are nine feet long and sell for $8.99 each.

Felted Wool Trivets at Trader Joe's

Also seen at Trader Joe’s are these fun trivets made out of the same felted wool balls as the garland. You may remember these trivets from last year, when they were on the shelves of TJ’s for a very brief period of time before selling out (in less than a day in some locations).

This year, you have another chance to grab one of these wildly popular trivets, because they are back and available in two color choices, as seen above. You can grab a colorful one to match the felted wool garland, or go with the more muted grays to coordinate with your everyday decor. The trivets measure roughly 7″ by 7″ and sell for $4.99 each.

I found out about the garlands on Saturday and rushed in and bought the last three at my store yesterday. I’m glad you guys have been doing more Trader Joe’s posts. I know not everybody has Trader Joe’s near them but I think it is one of the best stores.

Thanks for this great idea for my yarn leftovers.

    • Kellie

Hi Bonnie – please share how you will do the garland (?) with yarn leftovers….my sister knits; I would love to use up her leftovers with a clever idea!! Thanks!!

In order to felt yarn you must be using100% wool that is not labeled as super wash. Felting is analogous to what you may have done by accident when washing and drying sweaters in the past, only to have them come out of the dryer sized to fit a baby or a doll rather than a grownup.

I saw these same garlands at Marshalls/Home Goods on Saturday as well.

While shopping at Trader Joeโ€™s on Sunday, I noticed the large display area that had this garland. It was nearly sold out. Just a few left.

Thank you for posting this. I was there yesterday and thought about going to the next isle but didn’t and I missed them. So went in today and got two rainbow trivets. Love them ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜

I’m so so sad that the trivets are no longer available. ๐Ÿ™ I got two of the gray ones, but I want more…now I’m about to pay triple what I originally paid just to have them. Le sigh.
