On the fence? Check out what our readers have to say about this set…

If you are hesitating at all…don’t! These things are awesome! My boys (3 & 5) play with them daily. They love them so much that they fight over them often. We even had to put initials on each tile to separate them when things get heated.

My son’s preschool has these and everytime I go to pick him up he is playing with them.

It is the greatest toy ever. We’ve had in for 3 years. Both my boys (2 and 7 years old) play with it every day. I paid full price and it is worth every penny.

My kids got these for Christmas and have literally played with them every single day since. So often that I had to buy the 100 piece set when it was on sale. They still fight over them even tho we have 3 sets. Totally worth the money even the adults play with them!

$5 off coupon does not seem to work. I tried on my phone and computer. Any hints on what I can do?

    • Breanna

It worked for me using a mobile device. The coupon didn’t show until I clicked on proceed to checkout.

DARN! I still find it to work for me. Maybe try once more in a different browser. Hoping that helps!

      • Amy

        Different browser worked. Thanks!

        • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Great! You’re welcome, Amy! SO glad that worked!

Does anyone know if its fun for older kids – like 11 or 12?

    • K

Though I’m sure an 11/12 yo would “mess around” with them, I would say 4-8 is more of an appropriate target age for these.

    • Amy

I agree that these are probably not going to keep the attention of an 11/12 year old for very long.

    • Karen

My 10 year old plays with these but only when he’s joining in with his 3 and 4 year old siblings. I would think 11 or 12 year olds would enjoy LEGO sets more.

    • Suzanne

It probably depends on the kid. I have 14, 12, 8, and 5 and they all play with them regularly (my 14 year old son doesn’t really get them out just for himself, but my 12 year old daughter does). And their friends all love to play with them, too.

Magnetic tiles are the gateway drug to Legos. My 6 and 4 year old love these picasso tiles.

My nieces (6, 4 and half and almost 3) love these things!!! They always fight over them lol. I already have there presents tho and I have 10 other nieces/nephews so this aunt is cheap! Haha but I would definitely recommend these! There pretty cool!

My husband & brother in law can be entertained for quite a long period as well! I’d say tweens would still find them enjoyable!

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

They sure are fun for all ages! Thanks for taking the time to comment, Rachel! Glad to hear your husband and brother in law have enjoyed them!

  6. CJo

Was wondering about the quality as in how easy do they break and possibly release the magnet compared to the MagnaTile brand. Thanks for any opinions. 🙂

    • Sabrina

We had our Picasso Tiles (2 sets of 100) for almost 5 years. Our four kids play with them daily. Maybe 3-4 tiles are broken. They hold up great!

    • Yess

I have both and they are fine especially for the price.

    • Mark Paulson

We bought a 60 piece set in 2015 and a 100 piece set in 2016. No broken pieces or lost magnets. It’s solid. We’ve had many, many tall Picasso Tile towers crash to the floor with no issues.

    Awesome! Thanks for the replies.
