Looking for a Fun Job? Oscar Mayer Is Hiring Wienermobile Drivers!
Get paid to see the country through the windshield of the Wienermobile! 🌭
If you’re planning to graduate college this year and you’re getting ready to start your job search, Oscar Mayer has a really unique opportunity for you! The company is looking for outgoing, creative, friendly, and enthusiastic college graduates to drive the Wienermobile all over the country, bringing “miles of smiles” from coast to coast!
This is a full-time, one-year position requiring multi-state travel. Perks include a “competitive salary,” expenses, benefits, team apparel, and a two-week training session at Oscar Mayer’s Hot Dog High. “Hotdoggers” (as they’re called) don’t just drive the Wienermobile – they’re also responsible for maintaining the vehicle, serving as a brand ambassador, and managing their own PR firm on wheels.
Applicants should have a BA or BS, preferably in public relations, journalism, communications, advertising, or marketing. Candidates with other degrees will be considered, though! This highly-coveted position is very competitive. Oscar Mayer needs twelve people to drive its fleet of six Wienermobiles, and last year thousands of college grads applied!
Think you’ve got what it takes to be an Oscar Mayer Hotdogger? Check out the official job description and then follow the directions for submitting your resume and cover letter via mail or email by January 31. Good luck, and let us know if you’re chosen for this fun adventure!
I am quitting my present job I want to drive that thing!!😆
If I was the right age I’d be all over this. Having it on your resume would certainly get you a lot of attention. What a great way to see the United States and have a year of incredibly fun memories.
Exactly! I wish I’d done something like this as a kid 🙂
I was just reading about the Mandela Effect and you guys got me even more confused! lol
One of the things the Mandela effect talks about is how people remembered Oscar Mayer to be Oscar Meyer (with an “e” instead of an “a”)
I’m reading this article and seeing it both ways and got even more confused as to which one was correct 😀 lol
It is spelled Mayer, see the photo of the weinermobile for reference. Just a typo in the post. The “My bologna has a first name” song helps me remember.
You’re right, Dee – It’s spelled with an “a”! Thanks for catching that… we’ve updated the post. 🙂
My daughter is graduating with a marketing major this May and has applied for this… she calls it “her dream job!!””…. LOL… as she says… “they have to pick SOMEONE!”””
I hope she gets hired! If she does, please come back and give us updates on how it goes 🙂
Thank you princess mom ! I sure will!!!
You need degree to drive a Weinermobile?!?!?! Good Lawd…
Ha! Funny!!!
Have they been doing this for a while now? I wonder if there’s a way to find out which city are the cars going at a certain time frame.
Hopefully they have new HR recruiters bc the girl and guy that came through my city last year just sat in the weinermobile with their feet up on the dashboard and looked at their phones the ENTIRE time! I had to go up and knock on the window and ask for a whistle for my kid 🙄
(singing) Oh, I wish I were an Oscar Mayer weiner, that is what I always want to be..Lol You know someone was gonna do it:)
You’ve just earned a college degree and a $50 k debt…what are you gonna do now? Drive a Weeniemobile…#goals
It states competitive salary, so who knows 😃
Speaking of spelling… it’s Wiener (think of the German spelling for Vienna, which is Wien). Wein is wine. 🙂
Thanks, Bea! I just updated that!
And I thought my job as a crash test dummy was unique!
Tell us more about what that entailed!
