I just wanted to throw out my own personal experience with this in case it helps someone else. I had both these products. I used the playard with my first and when he got a little more mobile he started to try to climb it. He would put his foot where the bars cross and pull himself up. Twice he did this and fell over the side and hit his head, so I ended up getting rid of it. The portable chair is pretty cool but he outgrew it after only a couple uses. As soon as their feet can touch the ground they can try to tip it. I don’t have to worry abut any falls and it collapses as well. It is full price now, but I have seen the price drop much lower. Thanks for all you do Hip2Save, I love all your posts but just wanted to throw my 2 cents out there are others out there with toddlers that are climbing maniacs.

My youngest.now 7… Is such a climber her nickname is monkey fingers. She was already climbing out of her crib as soon as she could crawl. Thanks God she has never fallen…knock on wood…she still climbs on everything. She will scale the walls as well. It’s very scary for us. needless to say I’m very cautious when I purchase things for our grandson now. I think how would he try and escape. ¯\_ಠ_ಠ_/¯
