Looking for a way to earn money from home?

If you’d like to have a career in the comfort of your own home, check out Liveops, a company that is currently hiring remote workers in select states!

Liveops provides virtual call center services for the retail, health care, insurance, and telecom industries and Liveops agents are independent contractors that set their own schedules.

Many positions are paid by the “talk minute,” so earnings will vary based on call volume, experience, performance, and other factors.

Liveops currently has a variety of job opportunities listed on its website. Candidates must be 18 years old, a legal resident of the US to apply and all agents are required to have a quiet place to work, a corded headset, and a computer with a wired connection to the Internet.

Candidates must pay for and pass background and credit checks (this does require a $45 non-refundable fee paid directly to a 3rd party background check provider).

If you’re wondering what it’s like to work for Liveops, you can head on over here to get the inside scoop from some of the company’s current agents and/or check out the LiveOps Employee Reviews on Indeed.

Thanks for sharing, I was sold until they require you to pay the non refundable $45 fee.

The $45 fee is to pay for your background check. They cost money and a company/business isn’t going to pay for your background check. I understand what you meant though.. Just thought I’d clarify. I hope how I worded my comment didn’t come off as negative. But, you are right that if you’re asked for any type of monetary compensation, it’s a scam.

Ummm….I have had several companies do background checks on me….the company ALWAYS pays for it….you should never ever have to pay to get a job unless you are starting your own business….of course the company should pay for the check if they want it done!

I am interested in trying this in August when my kids start school again. I am a floor nurse but feel I need a change and working from home sounds great.

Why would you need to pay $45 initially unless you have been offered a job and then do a background check perhaps? Doesn’t seem legit.

That’s not true. A lot of companies include background checks into their screening process, at no cost to the applicant.

Yes this would be a hard no for me. Id rather go get a background check personally and then id have it. Whos going to pay $45 for them to not offer you a job potentially. Besides big enough companies get breaks if they do enough background checks. And a credit check ?? I would not let them into any of my business period. Nevermind paying them to be in my business. 🤣 Reminds me of an ad that used to be in the Prov journal years ago looking for models. Lol. Just pay a small fee so they can book the portrait studio etc. They ended up being investigated and the FBI got involved. Hahaha. Never pay someone you dont know esp for a job !! Thats totally backwards !! Lol

I actually got a job with Wag! It’s a dog walking/sitting service and you had to pay $25 up front for the background few which I feel wasn’t very much money and you make it back pretty quickly. I guess each company is bit different in that way.

I understand the concern with scams, however, LiveOps is legit. They have been around for at least 10 years, maybe more. I’ve worked for them, and made money.
Now, things could’ve changed over the years, with the time, but there are various calls you can take. Many of the calls could be ones from infomercials. You are provided a script, and just read from that, and type the informing given to you. It’s not hard at all.
Depending on the clients, and other qualifications you may work other lines.
I like that you choose your own schedule. Unless things have changed, you could choose in advance or as close as even 1 hour. Maybe even less. I also like the fact that you could get on anytime, as calls can come in 24hrs. Some blocks are slow, some are back to back.
They paid on time. You are responsible for your taxes. Overall, my experience was positive. While my child was at school, I’d work a few hours here and there. I started on my master’s degree, started subbing, and thus couldn’t devote anymore time to LO. I wish I held on to it though. It’s nice to fall back on.
You will need a quiet place… no background noise at all. think about it. If you called a company, would you feel comfortable giving out your information hearing distracting noises in the background? Understandably, many people understand some companies hire remotely, in this case, your background must still be quiet. No dogs, kids making noise, etc. Also consider traffic or sirens, garbage trucks, and even lawnmowers, can be heard through some headsets. Those are environmental factors mostly beyond your control, but still plays an important part. Invest in a good, reliable headset.
    Good luck.
