Walgreens Balance Rewards Points Expiration Dates Have Been Extended
Calling all Walgreens shoppers!
Walgreens recently sent out an email stating that they are pausing expiration dates for Balance Rewards points through June 2020 as a result of the coronavirus pandemic!
So if you have Balance Rewards points set to expire anytime between 4/1/2020 through 6/1/2020 (these would have been earned 4/1/2019 – 6/1/2019), they will now expire on 6/30/2020 instead. Note that all points earned outside of this window will continue to expire on a rolling 12-month basis.
For more information, look for an email from Walgreens with the subject line “Stay focused on what matters. We’ll look after your points.” from the email address Walgreens@e.walgreens.com.
As a reminder, you can redeem points online at Walgreens.com once you accumulate 1,000 points. On the Payment Options screen of the checkout process, just use the dropdown menu to select your rewards redemption value and you can choose to redeem all, some, or none of your points. And now is a great time to shop on Walgreens.com since all orders ship for free!
If you prefer to shop at your local Walgreens but don’t want to physically head into the store, keep in mind that additional products are available for purchase at the pharmacy drive-thru. Just pull up and ask for a menu of shoppable items, including household goods, cough/cold and pain relief, grocery items, baby formula and medical supplies. Tell the cashier your order (no need to preorder or leave your car), and they’ll assemble it and get you on your way!
So nice! Wish CVS would do the same
Me too!!! Already had some expiring & more expiring today & this week. They haven’t offered free shipping either. Disappointed in CVS
I agree and a lot of people have been trying to ask CVS corporate through Facebook, etc. and they don’t answer. I find it ironic that they are trying to become the next “health care” provider by offering Minute Clinics, but they won’t do what Walgreens (and extending the rewards dates) is doing to keep people home (especially in the shelter in place areas which I am currently in) for the greater good (since a lot of offerings are not available online and from what I hear a lot of orders are being cancelled and EBs not refunded….which tells me they are in it for the $$, not the greater good or people’s well being which is the opposite of what they SAY they are trying to do.
I too was hoping CVS would extend the dates for expiring rewards.
I have about $30 expiring Mar 30. Yes they definitely should.
My store manager said he will take expired eb’s, so it might be a store by store decision. He said let him or the cashier know prior to checking out b/c he is doing a force print at the register, b/c the register won’t take eb’s past 2 days expiration.
Thanks! Is there a way to see when your points are going to expire?
Not sure if it was mentioned, but if you signed up for the month of Coffee subscription at Panera Bread, I got an email saying they are waiving the subscription fee for another 2 months!
Hi Mel! You could always contact customer service for any further details. Thanks for the helpful reminder on that Panera offer! https://hip2save.com/tips/panera-promo-code/
Off topic but where did that adorable keychain come from? 😍
Was thinking the same! Looks like Brighton maybe?
Thanks for the sweet comment! It is from Dayspring.com. 😊 I’m not finding it listed as I search through now.
Well I got a little aggravated at Walgreens (probably because I didn’t read the fine print somewhere😁) because I’m a member of the $50 Beauty Enthusiast program and my balance had gotten up to something like $49.22, so one more purchase and I would’ve hit the $50 mark! But nooo, they wiped my balance clean because I didn’t get to the $50 in a 12- month period. Back to 0 now. 😟
call them – the CS is the best – they have always helped me.
I didn’t see anything about Register Rewards. I earned a bunch an then we got quarantined (we are having n week 3 here). I was hoping they accept them.
