Any one have these? I need some shoes like this for kayaking or creek walking. I just wondered how comfortable they were.
I suggest keens for those activities. Your foot is more protected.
Keens are better for those activities.
I LOVE my chacos. I have had the same pair for over 10 years. I use them all summer including paddle boarding and hiking as well as for everyday. I have also had keens which I didn’t like as much. I found that when I got rocks stuck in them (which happens with both my Keens and Chacos) it is much harder to get the rock out of the Keens. I have to take the whole shoe off verses just wiggling it out with the Chaco. Obviously, personal preference is going to be a huge factor here. For size reference I normally wear a 9 in Sperry and Converse but go with a 10 in chacos because I don’t like my toes going right to the end of my sandals.
I LOVE my Chacos and they are perfect for those activities. In my opinion, Chacos have better support over Keens. Chaco also has closed toe options similar to Keens. I have a couple pairs of chaco sandals and they are perfect for outdoor activities. I prefer the sandals without the toe strap.
I’m not a big fan of Chaco’s because I don’t like the toe strap, but at this price, I almost consider buying another pair, lol. I do agree with the previous poster about the rocks. I used my chacos for two months , a month traveling around Cyprus, and a month traveling around Morocco – both dry and rocky. Both times, the folks in Keens we’re constantly trying to get rocks out fo their shoes. I did not have that problem. I did like my Chaco’s in thise settings but have never worn them since.
Thank you so much for all the helpful reviews!
I LOVE my chacos! I wore them all last summer. They were my go to shoes, easy on and easy off. I have really bad knees and these were fantastic! I just ordered another pair! Yoo Hoo!
I’m loving hearing that it worked with your bad knees! Thanks!
Anyone know what color/pattern the first picture is?
