Please choose regular Switch over lite, it can be played on TV plus a bigger screen. We love playing as a family during this time.

      I agree on this too!!

We have both the lite and the regular. The regular is great for multi player games and it’s awesome that it can be hooked up to the TV or used as a hand held. That said, if you are primarily playing single player (hello Animal Crossing) and want to spend $100 less, the lite is a great alternative!

I only have one child- would love either, but it might be nice to have the regular so we can play as a family if wanted, right? New to gaming devices/consoles I can’t find the Nintendo switch regular in stock right now

Hey H! Regular consoles have been a little hard to find lately but you can keep an eye on our Nintendo deals page to watch for them – https://hip2save.com/category/brands/nintendo/

As for which console to get: if you are planning on playing games together then you definitely want the regular console. If you’re child is going to mainly be playing on their own then the Nintendo Switch Lite is good for that!

Wouldn’t the appeal be the fact that the Switch Lite is mobile? Can’t they take it in the car and other places? Or does it have to be connected to Wifi? My son is 9, which I think is really young for video games, and I don’t really like the idea of him playing video games, but this is the reason I would think the Lite is better. I would only let my son play a video game a few times a month so I think the Lite might be better? Also, having to be connected to a tv (the regular Switch) seems inconvenient.

They’re both mobile, however the regular switch can be played on the tv and on the go to. The lite can only be played on the go and can not be played on the tv. Also the Regular switch is 300$ and the Lite is 200$ and has a slightly smaller screen. But other than that, they can both play every switch game and if you want to let your son play games online with other players or buy games from the digital Eshop then you’ll need to be connected to wifi. But its not mandatory to be connected to wifi to play games though.
