Thank you! It says my seedling will be on the way 😊

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

      Yay! You’re so welcome, Riss!

  2. Jay

Thank you. How are you all starting with your garden. With the chaos going around, its scary to go out to buy plants. Please post if you have any ideas/deals for seeds/plants. Thank you.

    • Sheila

In Michigan, we can’t buy plants, no one can sell them during shelter-in-place. Lowe’s & Home Depot had large crowds gathering for mulch and plants, so it is banned for now. Hopefully soon!

      • Jay

Thank you. Hope for everything to return to normalcy soon.

      • Kim

Michigan here too. You can buy stuff online at Menards and do a pick up

        • Sheila

Oh, thanks, Kim! I missed planting pansies this year.

Actually Horrock’s in Battle Creek is smaller than 50,000 square feet so they are legally open to sell. There are a few smaller places open. I order a lot of my plants online & that hasn’t been a problem yet. It’s still too cold here to plant much outside yet. 🤷‍♀️

      • Anne

I hope hip2save posts a lot of online plant deals. It would be super helpful

    • Amanda

In our area several of the local nurseries have virtual shopping with curbside pick up.

    • Alicia

When I was at Winco today they had a bunch of seeds in front of the store. Easy to pick up while doing your grocery shopping I’d think?

    • KT

Some of us are part of a local garden group on FB. We have plant swaps and/or people offer up free plants. Maybe look for one in your area?

    • Elizabeth

My mom did old fashioned get the seed from the fruit or vegetable you have in your fridge and plant that. We now have many peppers, a papaya tree and a lemon tree that are starting to grow.

  3. carbar

Thank you! I wonder what kind of tree it will be 😊

    • Momma of 7

Same here, but my kids will be happy to plant it regardless of what kind of tree it is.

      • carbar

        Agreed 🙂

  11. Observant mom

Waits to see people whine about Arm&Hammer only giving 10,000 seedlings.

    • Jennifer

I don’t think many people do that here. Why are you trolling?

      • Observant mom

Am not trolling. Have several seats.

  12. Judi

    Thank you so much! ♥

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

  14. Sheri Baby

I have a ton of these naturally growing in my yard every spring due to the squirrels. 😂

If you are near city owned property and they have a project they’ll be doing where they will cut down healthy trees, you can always ask about digging them out before they clear (we’ve had a few baby trees- maybe what you would call saplings we transplanted that are thriving that we got before the city did some thinning of the property near us)

  16. AmyKay

We received our tree in the mail today and it was such fun for the kids to open the box and find a tree inside. It brought such joy and happiness unexpectedly today. Thanks so much Hip2Save!!

    • Jennifer (Hip Sidekick)

Yay! I’m so glad the kids enjoyed it and we hope it brings them joy for a long time!

  17. Kelly

Received a mini Norway Spruce tree in the mail today. Will plan to raise it soon in the garden. Thanks H2S!
