Teens Get 2 FREE Audiobooks Every Week Through the SYNC Summer Reading Program
Help your teen discover the joy of audiobooks with this free summer reading program!
SYNC is a free summer audiobook program for teens ages 13 and up and is returning on April 30th for its eleventh year of free content! Registration for the 2020 season is now open and FREE to all teens.
This year’s summer reading program will span 13 weeks and last until July 29th. Each week, SYNC participants will receive two thematically paired audiobooks delivered through Sora, the student reading app from Rakuten OverDrive. By the end of the program, teens will have had the opportunity to listen to 26 new titles!
If you’d like to have your teen participate in SYNC, you can register for the program here and then download the Sora app (iOS or Android) on the device your teen will use for listening to their audiobooks.
Although the program doesn’t begin until April 30, be sure to sign-up for text or email notifications now so you know when the free audiobooks are available to load in the Sora app.
Titles change every Thursday at 12 AM ET once the program gets started, and they’re only available to load for a period of 7 days. Once loaded into the Sora app, the titles are your teen’s to keep!
These educational websites will keep kids of all ages learning during school closures!
(Thanks, JD!)
I would just add that adults can participate as well and the titles are high interest for adults as well.
So, do they pick or not? It sounds like they are sent specific books. I’m just wondering as we have a guy and he isnt super cool with the teen lovey-drama stuff. [He’s a great great reader btw.]
Our school district isn’t listed, can my teen still sign up somehow?
