Teens Get 28 FREE Audiobooks Through the SYNC Summer Reading Program

Help your teen discover the joy of audiobooks with the SYNC summer reading program!

If you have a teen who loves books (or one who you think would enjoy the world of audiobooks), there’s a FREE summer reading program just for them!

SYNC is a free summer audiobook program for teens ages 13 and up, and now it’s back with another summer of free content! Registration for the 2023 summer season is now open and FREE to all teens 13+.

This year’s summer reading program will span 14 weeks and last through August 2nd. Each week, SYNC participants will receive two thematically paired audiobooks delivered through Sora, the student reading app from OverDrive. By the end of the program, teens will have had the opportunity to listen to a total of 28 new titles!

If you’d like to have your teen participate in SYNC, you can register them for the program here. Then, download the Sora app (iOS or Android) on the device your teen will use for listening to their audiobooks. The Sora app is completely free, and you do not need to be affiliated with a school to use Sora with the SYNC summer reading program.

The free audiobooks are available to teens worldwide, and the titles change every Thursday at 12 AM ET. Once they go live, each title is only available to load for a period of 7 days. After they’ve been loaded into the Sora app, the titles are your teen’s to keep! 🙌
