These are the penguins that stole the whole Madagascar film and do they deserve to be on the big screen. It has heart without getting too sappy. It was funny without being ridiculous. They went for the cute factor without going overboard candy sweet (rolls eyes). My whole family loves it. It is a movie that simply entertains no matter what gender or age you are. Nonetheless, I recommend highly for your whole family’s entertainment popcorn or no popcorn.

I never saw the first Madagascar movie but I was completely entertained by this one! The comedy is understandable for children, mostly, but there are added layers for adults (they’re not inappropriate, just grown up) that are hysterical. I purchased it so we can watch it again and again.

If you haven’t viewed Penguins yet, do so. The humor here is actually quite brilliant and sophisticated. I have to admit that the lushness of the drawing and animation plus the high production values probably also color my opinion. The writing is brilliant; the acting is brilliant; the plots are almost always brilliant.
