Hearth Hand Cake Stand on kitchen counter filled with muffins

Add some beauty to your kitchen counter!

If you’re looking for a gorgeous and practical way to display all your yummy homemade treats and goodies, do not miss the chance to grab one of these Hearth & Hand with Magnolia Wood & Metal Covered Cake Stands at Target.

Despite its popularity, it appears that Target is discontinuing this cake stand (why Target, why?!) so it is no longer available for delivery. However, it does appear to be in-stock for pick-up at many Target stores across the country at its regular price of $34.99.

To order one for pick-up at your local Target store, head here and click the Pick Up Here button to view the stock in your area.

rustic cake stand on kitchen counter

Rated 5-stars by 90 reviewers, this rustic cake stand features a dark wood circular base that sits on a galvanized metal tray with a clear glass cover that has a knob on top for easy lifting. It is perfect for displaying cookies, muffins, cakes, breads and any other treats you make or buy (it even makes bananas look beautiful!).

I received this cake stand as a Mother’s Day gift and it has become my absolute favorite item in my entire kitchen! If you are at all interested (or are looking for a great housewarming gift idea!), do not miss the chance to snag one of these before they’re gone forever.

      For me too😆

I totally agree that it is spendy but if you have any wiggle room in your budget and think this would be a nice addition to your kitchen, I think it is worth the high price tag. I am really enjoying baking more goodies and treats for my family simply because I am having so much fun displaying them on this stand. 🙂

Says it won’t ship to my area, dang!

My husband is going to think I’m crazy driving over 30 miles to pick this up, but I found one! Thanks for the heads up!

    • Bryn (Sister Sidekick)

YAY! Hope you love it, Debra!

Anyone know if I can just order a new glass top anywhere? The glass broke- would love to replace it without having to buy a whole new one.

Contact Magnolia directly and see if they can do something for you! Hope this helps 😊

    Gone at my store!

I bought mine about 6 months and I love it. It looks very rustic but be sure to inspect it in the store, I had to exchange mine because the glass top would not align properly with the base. Overall beautiful addition to any home!

I have this and stack donuts in it for my kids birthday parties haha easier than cutting cake!

So smart! I may need to copy this idea!

Oh great, another item that 99% of people will have in their “farmhouse.” I find their style so boring, and every house I seem to go into now looks exactly the with no personality bc they got their “inspiration” from these two.

      Geez… let’s be positive!

So no one can have opinions? I get so exasperated with all the yes-men clones posting that I tend to forget that I’m not an outlier. I’m glad to see a variety of opinions. Makes life (and blogs) less boring! I too am beyond sick of the Gaines family and farmhouse style more generally (though admittedly I do have a few deeply clearanced pieces and I have my eye on one of their spendier items). Maybe someone at H2S with more eclectic style will step forward with their frugal finds and decorating tips.

We can an all agree to disagree but peacefully!!! ✌️This is an awesome place to not only find great deals but have communication with other people and we need to be a little more thoughtful in how we express our opinions. As the famous Bob Marley said “don’t worry be happy” 😂😂😂😂

I have lots of friends who decorate their homes differently then I would choose to decorate mine. The thing about your home is that it should bring you joy to be there – whatever your style is! I love ‘farmhouse’ style, I think it’s cozy, cute and welcoming! If it’s not your style that’s OK too! I’m sure however you decorate your home make you happy – and that bring me joy! Amy, I hope you and your family are doing well and surviving this crazy time in our lives. All my love <3

I completely agree! I’ve always been a sentimental person and have sentimental attachments to certain things/pieces… a painting my grandmother did, my husband’s grandfather’s old record table from the early 1900’s, drawings from my kids when they were yonger, etc. That stuff never goes out of style in my opinion. Joanna has been an inspiration to me in that sense because she has a beautiful and clever way of mixing old with new. I get it…one can easily be overwhelmed and turned off when certain styles/people/shows are over exposed by media… it can feel a bit forced (I could do with a lot less Kardashians myself) But I think it’s important to remain true to who you are and your own style. At the end of the day, I think that’s what really makes you unique and a house YOUR home. I do own this cake stand and love it because of how high the dome is. I don’t have to place a hight limit on my cakes and I can beautifully stack donuts, cookies or muffins for display. The metal base is a bit too rustic for my taste, but I couldn’t find the one with the white base and it’s never came back in stock. So, I though maybe I could paint mine?!

You can often find cake stands and domes at thrift shops, fyi. Also, if you intend on using one for food rather than display, keep in mind that domes don’t keep pastries/desserts as fresh as air-tight containers. That said, I have several that I’ve used frequently for years but only for a day or two at a time. Also, my husband claims the ones with wooden bases give foods an off taste. I haven’t noticed, but if you have a supertaster, a wooden one might not work for you. I’m not sure whether putting a plate on top of the base would help or not; I primarily use glass and ceramic ones right now.

Oooh good idea about thrift shops! They just opened in my area, I’ll have to go check it out and see if I can snag one

I’ve had my eye on this cake stand since last year.

  12. Leane

To each his own obviously a large amount of people love them and there stuff!

  13. Thia

These are great to use for decorating too, think Christmas, Halloween etc.
Just google “christmas decorating ideas using dome cake stands”

      Thank you, Thia!
