These are cute, and fit my 11 year old but the loops are too long for my 9 year old. They run really big for kids masks in my opinion. Just fyi.

    • Nicole6

      They do run super big!

    • Othertiff

I agree that the loops of the masks are too big for a younger child. I bought cord adjusters on Amazon and now that I‘ve added those to the loops, the masks even fit my 4 year old.

      • Mendy

Thank you for the tip on the adjusters!

      • bdoyle

        Which adjusters did you buy?

        • Othertiff

I bought these: Silicone Cord Locks- Soft Plastic End Spring Stop Toggles Stoppers for Round Elastic Masks, Adjustment Buckle for Drawstrings Elastic Children Masks Cord Adjuster Non Slip Stopper(40pcs Black) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B089N1JX5Q/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_4eXfFbADTZCH4 I used a paper clip, which I bent straight to push the masks’ loops through the adjusters.

          • Stefanie

I’ve used perler beads as stoppers… seems to be working fine for my 4 year old girls.

            • Othertiff

              Great idea, Stefanie!

    • Annie

We just tie a small loop at the end of each earpiece on my son’s masks and that helps them fit correctly. I have to do the same on masks for me.

  2. Jessica

This size is great for adults with smaller faces.

  3. Conservative

Ha I would never spend money on masks!

    • Kate G.

Do you just make them yourself?

    • Really?

Does posting comments like this bring you joy?

      • Conservative unlike you

        For sure!!

    • Kate G.

Oh wait. I just saw your “name”. Clearly you’re part of the reason Covid will never end. Never mind.

      • MeRiv

There are plenty of Conservatives who wear masks. There are radicals on each side of the aisle.

      • Con

No, clearly I’m the one who started the Wuhan flu.

        • Kate G.

What is a “wuhan flu”? Is it a flu that came around the same time as Covid 19 who’s origins have been traced to Europe? And you not wearing a mask spreads diseases regardless of their origin. Did Fox News forget to report science based information (again)?

    • Gen

Then be prepared to catch and spread a disease… ha!

      • Midwest

FYI masks don’t work but keep on fearing!

        • Kate G.

Right. Masks don’t help. Super weird coincidence that places that make masks mandatory have lower infection rates.

Whether you believe masks work or not, wouldn’t you rather show kindness and compassion to your friends, family, and neighbors by not making things worse? Nobody wants to wear a mask, but nobody wants ourselves or loved ones to get COVID either. Most of us are not the scientists, not the doctors, not the health experts. They are overwhelmingly telling us to wear masks. I know people who don’t want to wear masks, so they stay home instead. Just some thoughts…

  4. Lisa

I ordered 3 sets and it took $1.10 off. Order came to $10.90.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Hi Lisa! Did you grab the savings on the packs above?

  5. Tracy

I’ve been buying thses for myself, the adult ones are waaayyyyy too big but these fit great.

    • Irene (Hip Sidekick)

Great idea, Tracy! My teen daughters and I, we’re all petite people, do the same!

    • Heather

I’ve done the same. Originally bought them for my 10 year old & they have been the best mask purchase we’ve made…loved them so much, I went back & bought more for myself also!

  6. queen62

Going to be wearing mask for a long time.

  7. MrsG

I love the jersey ones! The reviews are iffy but we are very happy with them. 🤷🏼‍♀️

  8. Sla1981

I can’t find a mask that fits my 6 year old. They are all big 😥

    • Stephanie

Try adding an ear extender. My 6 year old has used adult disposable masks with the ear extender and it just wraps around her head and fits great. Also is more comfortable to wear since the elastic doesn’t pinch her ears. You can Google how to make your own or buy one online.

    • Vanessa

I found that the old navy ones fit my 6 year old. I haven’t tried the target ones yet.

      • tdrew138

The old navy ones work for us too.

    • Allison

Look for some that are homemade. People making them can make all sizes. We have a local shop that’s selling different sizes kids’ and adult masks. The kids’ ones from Target are a little big on my 8yo (and he’s big for 8!) I wear the Target kids ones as an adult. Maybe try the strap adjusters mentioned and linked in a previous comment?

    • Jen

Orly makes child masks that actually fit my daughter. They are the only ones I’ve found that do (without adjusters). We got ours at Fred Meyer (which is West Coast store) but they are owned by Kroger.

  9. Ms

Does anyone know how this mask compared to the solid color with filter pocket sold at Target at the same price? Thanks.

    • Cynthia

They are bigger in size compared to the original solid colors.

      • Ms

        Thanks!

  10. Melissa

My daughter is 8, the target one is a bit big. The kid gap ones are nice & on the smaller side. We bought Vida ones for our whole family also, they have adjustable ear loops and fit everyone in the family.

  11. Sue

My daughter is 9 & the unicorn pack fit her perfectly. She really likes them. When I went to my closest Target last Friday, they had about 40 unicorn packs & the rest were solids. Went back a few hours later to get something I forgot, & all the unicorn packs were gone. The Target 30 minutes away didn’t have any masks left in store at all.

  12. Sue

Just a heads up, they only ship with $25 orders. I was lucky the 1 pack my daughter wanted was available to ship to store for free.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Thanks, Sue! I’m seeing that now as well.

    • queen62

      Red card ships for free

      • Lindsay

I had to spend $25 to get these to ship even WITH my red card. 🤨

  13. Meljnda

These are the absolute best masks! And if they seem a little too big, just tie a small knot in the back of each of the elastic ear pieces! ❤️

    • Irene (Hip Sidekick)

      Thanks for sharing, Meljnda!

  14. Kat

    Your mask doesn’t help

    • Erin mi

      Your opinion doesn’t help.

    • Sam

Ignorant comments like this is why cases are increasing

    • Cindy

Nobody asked for your opinion on mask!

    • kidsallgone

      🙄🙈

  15. Mary

After I washed and dried the mask, it fit my 5.5 year old’s face. I still had to tie a little knot at the ends of the elastic to adjust the loops. Now it fits great.

    • Cindy

Thanks, I’ll give them a wash and dry and see what happens!

  16. Cindy

The cat & jacks masks are huge on my 7 yr old, maybe better for tweens?

  17. KiyamiMom

These are so cute and fit my 9 year old very well. They’re her favorite and the value is great!

  18. molly

These are cute… just tie the ends for a smaller fit. It helps when my kids can help shop for their masks. They’ve now adjusted to wearing them! 🙂

  19. Shirley

I bought both Old Navy and Target kids face mask for my almost 8 year old. The elastic on Old Navy is stretching to the point that it looks like it will rip. Target Cat & Jack has more room between the face and the mask. My kid thinks Target one is more comfortable. You can’t beat that for $2 that comes with a nose wire and a filter pocket.

  20. h1pst3r

    Masks for cats now?!

  21. Sara

I’ve purchased a ridiculous amount of masks from Target over the last couple weeks (probably 30+?) and have some tips. I’ve purchased so many in preparation for my kids going back to school (hybrid schedule). The kids sizes are a bit big on our 9 & 11 year olds but fit perfectly on our two teenage daughters and myself. The adult small is big on the teenagers and myself. The L/XL fits my husband but he has a pretty big head. At the suggestion of someone above, I ordered some cord tighteners from Amazon (100 for $9, so enough to fit 50 masks) and they arrived today. They were very easy to put on (I used some ribbon to thread them through) and according to reviews should stay on through the wash. They allow the child sized masks to fit our younger kids and the adult small masks to fit the teenagers and myself. Previously, I was just tying knots in the elastic to make them fit but this looks a little neater. The cord tighteners fit well on the Target masks but are too small on some of the “homemade” masks that I’ve purchased that have wider elastic. To keep track of all of these masks, I hung up 2 bags on the coat hooks by our back door, one for clean masks and the other for dirty so it will be easy for the kids to grab a clean mask every morning and make sure they all get washed after each wear. The Target ones have been the most affordable that I’ve found. They have pockets for filters and the more recent ones all have flexible nose pieces (the solid color ones that I purchased in store a while back do not). I’m glad that they’ve come out with more fun prints at affordable prices. It totally sucks having to wear them and will be especially difficult for kids in school so having a fun print helps just a little.

    • Jennifer (Hip Sidekick)

Thank you for taking the time to leave so much information on your Target Masks and how you used cord tighteners. We sure appreciate it!

  22. M

Any advice on mask for a uniformed private school?

  23. Chris

These target kids masks are all out of stock now.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Hi Chris! I do find each set above available for shipping now as I click through, if you wanted to check once more!
